I would say it's a lot less than half the world's population. It's just this new generation of people my age (20) who are stupid, and cant figure out anything! They don't know what real racism is, they cant decide what gender they are, they dont understand anything

It should, but it won't because the car is built for getting speed built and then being able to do a wheelie. From what I know, it has everything to do with the power of the compressed air going through the horns and a lot of them arent powerful enough.... but idk honestly.

While the Charger that would become the "Schisler LEE" was originally purchased with the intent of being converted to a General Lee and used in 'The 'Dukes of Hazzard', the car didn't actually receive the "General Lee" uniform until after the television series packed up and relocated to California to resume filming. Original 'Dukes' transportation coordinator, Don Schisler, ended up building the car for his teenage son in 1979. According to the late Mr. Schisler, when 'The Dukes of Hazzard' wrapped filming in Georgia, a production rep called him during the holidays and made him aware that 'Dukes' would be relocating to California permanently to resume filming. It was during this conversation that Mr. Schisler said that he received one last vehicle order. Among the vehicles in that order, a total of (3) General Lees were requested. Upon completing the order for the (3) General Lees requested, Mr. Schisler said that he had (1) Charger remaining. Knowing that his teenaged son was fan of the General Lee during filming, Mr. Schisler said that he worked out a deal for the car and ended up building his son his very own General Lee. Mr. Schisler said that after building the car, they ended up selling it as his son couldn't enjoy it as much as he had hoped. 'The Dukes of Hazzard' had skyrocketed in popularity across the country and people were all over his son's car wherever he went. When they sold the car, Mr. Schisler said that the car's new owner dogged it (to the point of blowing the engine) severely in the parking-lot of the motel he staying at. As a result, the new owner refused to take responsibility for it and later tried to sue Mr. Schisler's teenaged son for "selling him a car with a sour engine". Upon the judge looking over the case, he ultimate threw it out clearing Mr. Schisler's son of any wrong doing.
The car was painted during the Christmas break in 1978, H&H body shop thought that they would be coming back to film and they had that car so they painted it. When Schisler got it it was already a general Lee
I have read all the paperwork on the car, and letters from the H&H body shop talking about how they painted it for the show before finding out that they weren't going to continue filming in Georgia
I don't doubt what people have told you and understand that you've read paperwork regarding the car. Mr. Schisler was a GREAT guy and had absolutely no reason to fabricate anything about the General Lee he built for his son using a Charger that he had left over from his fleet here in Georgia. Don't get me wrong. The "Schisler LEE" is a fantastic example of an early General Lee. However, I believe that people have simply coaxed people affiliated 'Dukes' over the years into confirming false information all for the sake of building value into the car. Are you familiar with 'Dukes' historian Jon Holland? Aside from being a historian of the show, Holland has the biggest 'Dukes' collection out there. He owns original props as well replicated and original vehicles from the show. He has also written books on 'Dukes' and 'Moonrunners'. Jon was also friends with Don Schisler and knows the true history of the "Schisler LEE".
I know Jon Holland, he's a good dude. But he is wrong about Lee 6. Brian Grams has letters from Don Schisler and his son, and the H&H body shop that the car was built with the intention of being on the show. The roll cage in it was removed from Lee 1, and there is a picture of Lees 6 and 1 next to each other at H&H on the last day of filming. Lee 6 is the gold charger in the background. The picture was taken on the last day of filming. The photos of one of the guys at H&H painting the 01 on a general lee, is a photo of them painting the graphics on Lee 6. With all due respect, you are mis-informed about the car. Paperwork, photos, and first hand accounts from the people who owned and built it don't lie. The car was built during the christmas break of Dukes, before Schisler got it for himself from Warner for only $10 and Consideration on 11/6/78
