Just completed a full 10 song album with the Model 12 as an audio interface/daw controller into Logic. Amazing audio quality. I agree, i wish the Model 12 was a hybrid deck. But still amazing nonetheless.

What’s the band called in this video?

No track edit feature on the Model 12. So it's not a replacement for the DP24/DP32.

I use a Korg Kronos as a Midi Controller, Will the Model 12 allow me to play my DAW plugins ( VST`s ) through it like with other audio interfaces? This would be the only reason why I would by this mixer

Yeah, the plugins should work as long as your DAW has been configured to recognize the 12 as an audio interface. Plugging the 12 up using the USB cable to your computer, then opening your DAW in the audio setting, select the 12. Drag and drop your plugin onto a new track and it should send the audio to the board. Make sure the MODE switch is selected to PC on the Model 12.

Do the EQs/faders print to the SD card multitrack record? I’m aware they don’t record when you have it set as an audio interface.

Faders don't per channel, but you can set recording to the SD card after the EQ and compression. This is more of a typical need. Grabbing those stems at peak volume while having a stereo mix recorded. Then, if you want to remix in the daw later, you aren't affected by fader adjusted stems, which could essentially render any further mixing useless.

Soundboard? Thats a term I've not heard in 30 years of being an audio engineer. The usual term is Mixer, Console, Mixing Desk or Mixing console.

30 years as an audio engineer and you've never heard it called a soundboard? Your credentials are in question.
