Been watching this build series you have going on and I noticed you hammer on your box end wrenches too LOL .. I thought I was the only one who did that.
Oh no! Little bits of metal in the oil filter are never a good thing. That's a rather ominous sign. Thought you were going to get through the clutch bolt issue unscathed, but it appears you did not. Glad to see I'm not the only one things like that happen to. Might be able to rethread if the damage isn't too severe. Good luck with it!
In my search for a goldwing, i found this parts in Germany. Maybe its something you can use. If the seller doesn't want to ship to the U.S., he can ship it to me in the Netherlands and i send it to you. www.ebay.de/itm/Motorradteile-Honda-Goldwing-GL1000-/273726587582
I appreciate the help! Thank you, you are very kind. Fortunately there is a motorcycle salvage place near me that I can get parts from if needed. A basket of Goldwing parts is cool though!
@@HooptieDoodle One of the reasons I had so much trouble with my '83 GL1100 build .. sourcing new parts was impossible, and good used parts were far and few between .. Need to start with a good running, clean GL to make these types of builds worth it :(
I'm planning to build my own Goldwing bobber. This channel is helping me a lot. Good luck with the enige!
I am glad that you like the build! Good luck with yours. I highly recommend starting with a running engine.

I hammer on a lot of things 😜. Sometimes it even works! Thanks for watching and keep on wrenching!

Thanks for the luck 😊. With metal shavings in the oil, I am certainly going to need it.
might be a good idea to look for a cheap motor on ebay to canibalize parts out of it.

Have you started to try to source parts for this engine? I have heard it it hard to find rebuild parts
You are correct! Very much correct. Sigh...
It is near impossible, and certainly past unreasonably difficult to source parts. Arrrgh
