It's called diplomacy. As a president of a country, he has to get leverage for his country. This is nothing new and is practiced by every sovereign country. Not sure, why DW and its analyst hate Erdogan and Turkey so much. Be objective, and have the same criticism for European leaders.
I think it's about time the Turkish government is asked to reaffirm it's NATO commitments. Certainly, as things seem to develope for the worse all the time with the Israel/Palestine conflict being the latest eruption in a long chain of escalating tensions all over the world, if Turkey might pull out for whatever reason then now is much better to know that than when they might be depended on - for instance to close the Bosperous Strait to Russian military vessels. Turkey has the largest standing army in Europe. If push comes to shove between the NATO organisation and some crazed dictator out to get his showdown, we don't want that army to suddenly change sides.
I think NATO probably needs to reconsider it's stance towards Israel (a non-nato state) instead. As a defence pact, they shouldn't be supporting neighbouring opponents of NATO states (turkey ought to have more weight on the policy that is so close to it's borders).

Türkiye proved its power in Syria, Libya and Karabakh. We don't need you. We can also leave Nato, no problem. Good luck to America with the mediocre armies of other countries in NATO.
Good luck with that. NATO needs Turkey a lot more than the other way around. Things have changed, you haven’t paid attention.
Turkey and their way of life/politics reminds me of Russia. There's a reason why many of my relatives from Russia like Turkey and Erdogan so much.
Because we are people of the same land
As a Türk myself...
Because both countries have a dictator
If standing for the truth makes a country looks like Russia then I guess Russia is a great country.
Guess the west if they were smart is too cut turkey from nato,no more talks about entering the economic union trade deals, and let them live their dream within a russia, china, north korea and iranian future, india is a BRICS member and many other countries are sympathetic but many commit crimes against all of us.

I mean, Erdogan's lines are on point... so
First of all, I am not a fan of Erdogan personally, and I do think the panel in this video raise many valid points. Having said that, I wish DW would stop acting as an echo-chamber for America's world views! Also, while Israel is a democratic country to a certain extent, the events of the past few weeks have only proven that it is no more humaine than any of its neighbours, not even Hamas. It's a shame that the political elite in Germany are still unwilling to see that.
I am sure they see it. It is their politics. They can't even say there should be cease-fire or don't cut the communications, water, food medical supplies, fuel. There are no reporters, no third party in Gaza. Just Israeli soldiers. Europe should know better they went through couple of major wars.
This is not about the u.s im swedish and think Bush should be labeled a war criminal but Erdogan is a problem. He support hamas and fight with every neighbour turkey has.
He is a corrupt autocrat who calls every kurd who wants their own state a terrorist, even if they arent part of the pkk.
I dont hate anyone but I despise him, he is part of the problem.
And in a way he is Turkeys Netanyahu, corrupt and has no issue killing ppl who arent fighting if they are on his wrong side.
Putin is so smart, he shows the world how deep the USA pocket is by creating war in Ukraine and Israel and as predicted the USA has chosen to protect Israel. Israel closes than there will be no the fed. Imagine if Putin crates 5 wars, can America finance them while dismantling the USA economy by boycotting the USA products and services? Which countries the USA will choose if there are wars in Israel, the UK, France or German?
someone presses the button and all media says the same thing and use some special word or sentence and you can notice they getting orders from the big guys. This you can prove when it is morning in the us and afternoon in europe. They get their main manuskript from the big boss who gives it to the smaller boss and so on.
Go search graphics of the media sector in western media.
Its like supermarket groceries. A few big holdings owning thousands of different companies (in my example news tv channels or paper)
The same goes for "experts talking or writing) all from the same foundations or think tanks or other organizations thousands with big names but everytime big time foundations behind them hiding giving scolarship or giving the contact of the "expert" to their "OWN NEWS CHANNELS AND PAPERS"
It's blindness to not see and admire Erdogan's integrity and courage as a leader. His willingness to speak the truth, even in the face of bullying Western leaders, is commendable. He is someone who is not afraid to stand up for what is right, regardless of the challenges presented.
it is clear that he is committed to speaking the truth, even when it may not be popular. His unwavering commitment to his beliefs and principles is a testament to his leadership strength.
Those who are not misled by Western agendas understand the important role he play for those who are not getting justice
I applaud His determination to lead with integrity and transparency, and I am confident that his leadership will continue to inspire others to do the same

Erdogan is stating what needs to be stated, whether you like him or not he is No Doormat like all the rest of Europe leaders with the only exception of Putin. The US has no control over Erdogan in fact the opposite is true the same applies to NATO, without Turkey there is no NATO that's hence the only reason the US politically made Turkey is apart of such.
Erdogan is false god. Dogan was the god of Palestinians ended having his neck broken the real God. 1 Samuel 5:4 "But when they arose early the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. And the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold; 1only the trunk of Dagon was left to him. "

He said the opposite of what the host implied.
Geez, you can’t even get that right.

What a horrible facilitator! Instead of asking questions to learn she only asked questions to make her own points. Just sit and talk alone why do you invite guests and try to push them to agree with you? Asking if Hamas wouldn't have been able to pull off the attack without Turkey's support and then scrambling to make someone agree with her, what a clown
Erdogan is saying truth. Western Power need to understand of pealistain right as well
This kind of shows me that Turkey is actually a lot more democratic when compared to any other state in the middle eastern. I feel like his language genuinely reflects his own beliefs and the beliefs of the people in Turkey. Other people in Middle Eastern countries feel the same but their leaders would never say this kind of stuff. I think he actually represents the will of the people albeit in a deeply divided society.

Turkey isn't in Europe. A few % of land is.
I think NATO probably needs to reconsider it's stance towards Israel (a non-nato state) instead. As a defence pact, they shouldn't be supporting neighbouring opponents of NATO states (turkey ought to have more weight on the policy that is so close to it's borders).
