    For a little better effect, put your halation node in linear (it looks better with the radius tool)

      @@TechBasedOfficial @TechBasedOfficial yes! same here lol. What does putting a node in "linear" mean?
      EDIT: I believe he means to put the node at the very end of the sequence. I did it just it and made a difference!

    • @stevenwilson2513
      @stevenwilson2513 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@BryanCamara He means linear gamma space. Right click the node and change the gamma to linear. It sets the working color gamma ONLY within that node to be linear.

    That's so smart wow. I remember duplicating the layers in Premiere, having a nightmare editing it. Now you come up with the idea of using screen blending mode then just making everything dark except for the highlights. That pure genius. I don't even care if that was your idea or not, thank you for brightening me. Haha. +1 sub.

    Why do you have the halation node first in the sequence? Shouldn't it be applied last so other nodes don't mess with the effect?

    • @george.colorist
      @george.colorist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank for watching. You’re most likely on an older version of resolve. The Composite Mode for nodes feature came with v18.5. Update your Resolve and you should be good to go.

    I'm also a noob here. I don't know if I'm trigging, but on the way I followed, doing the blur-radius, it just made my whole screen blur and after doing other steps, it's just keep getting super orange and white.
