Remember those days no traffic doing that route now in 2022 would probably take 2 hours now in traffic

I know this is 30 years ago, but there are so many old cars on the road that were old even then!

Damn. To think Kingsford and Kensington looked exactly the same up until last year when they started this screw up of a light rail. Shame.

Although 80's is my thing, the last of Sydney's greatness is the early to mid 90's here! Still good.

Man, the model ship builder at Circular Quay brings back some memories! I hadn't thought about that guy for ages! I wonder if he's still around?

Footage may contain images and voices of deceased persons. Great video! Just a year and a bit before I was born! I wouldn't mind seeing an August 1993 one.

At the start where the shop front said matra radio and tv, I used to work there. It was a retravision store. Now it's a Dominoes and a bottleshop.

Wow "I remember seeing Mistaken Identity around in the late 80s early 90s. Pretty good jazz group.

That drummer had some chops on him - sounds like a conservatorium drummer. I'd never heard of them until now. These dudes probably had enough skill to get gigs in the US or Europe. Pretty impressive for such a small population.

Must have been near the beginning of 91 as I spotted two XE Falcon cabs not far apart in Kings Cross vision and the 6.5 year age limit for cabs had been in force since the previous year. Final XE was October 84 making April 91 the cut off for any XE cab in Sydney.

Yeah and years of pollies getting cops to say "move on, move on" to creative artists, bohemians, strippers and other wildlife totally crushed Sydney to a staid walk around a nursing home grey walls of rubbish towers gentrified by Chinese devs bribed to corrupt Sydney councils crushing elegant theaters and cinemas trams monorails different cars basically anything with individual spirit crushed to buggery from over paid overseas corporations and corrupt govts taking bribes.

    • @GG-ud8id

@@ericburton5914 Totally agree with you. Sydney is soulless now. I've lived here my entire life and its really nothing like what it used to be.

    • @childrensorg856

@@GG-ud8idI couldn't agree more, now it's over gentrified with eyesore highrises and it's identity is fading.😢

Sydney is now an overcrowded shite hole, owned by the Chinese and Indians, with no quality of life at all.
