This car started its life in the Detroit area and was built into a drag car. It was named "Agent Orange" and was famous for the wheelies it used to do. It was a famous car locally at Milan and other local drag strips. The previous owner bought the car about ten years ago and restored it to a street legal car. He removed the cage and did a rotisserie restoration on it. His friend in North Carolina who is involved in NASCAR built the engine for him. It is a 440 Six pack 4 speed and has he claims 700HP.

If I could win a lottery, I would be contacting you guys and starting my mopar collection. This Road Runner is "theee perfect" Runner for me. Cheers
Love those old MOPAR long/wide instrument gauges. My brother had an orange Roadrunner back in the early 70's (not sure what year it was). I know it wasn't a six pack but my god did it ever run. In my last year of high school in 1979 a fellow student had one of these (same color) but back then they were still quite common and not expensive. If I could only go back in time, but I'm sure these restored cars have a much better build-quality to them than anything you got off the showroom floor back in the day. This is true beauty!
While mine was not a Sixpack, I had a Double pump Holley on it even tho she was nice n nasty with the factory Carter too. A Weber Street/Strip Clutch worked great with the Factory 4 gear with Mr Gasket shifter an linkage. A 4:10 8 3/4 rear diff helped her pull nice. Holley electric Fuel Pump maintained good fuel pressure mounted just above gas tank. While this Beast would easily smoke mine, I still had a whack of fun with it and she also won her fair share of street and Track drags. Loved that Runner.
When the wheels broke loose during the test drive, I laughed at the same exact time you did...great ride!!!
Me too. What a car.
You have so many cool cars. I'm a disabled veteran in a wheelchair trying to find a car with massively huge tires in rear with massive power plant!, great room.
That burnout was music to my ears! What a Beast Buggy!!
If I remember correctly, the Road Runner had a stock 383 big block 4 bbl and the GTX had the 440 big block 4 bbl. This upgraded 440 stroker addition to the Road Runner makes it even more the badassery of the car along with the six pack. Great work all around the vehicle. I would've rather had a different color though.
The '69 RR was available with the 383, 440, or 426 Hemi.
The 335HP 383 4-barrel/4-speed was the base model.
I don't remember anything other than the 383, four speed on floor, heavy duty clutch, no automatic steering, and the greatest driving experience of my twenties.
I owned 3 of them over time, one was a GTX. all 69' / supprised- I'm still alive !!
What a beautiful car these were the best looking Plymouths ever made cant go wrong with a 440 stroker
This guy has the best job in the world!
exactly he is working in the heaven...
Right. He doesn't HAVE to go to work. He GETS to go to work.
IT`s good to know the guy selling the car knows what he`s talking about and has driven vehicles capable of breaking the tires loose just from acceleration. That`s the way a good running muscle car reacts,Good video...makes me want my 68 all over again.
We had a '70 Runner 383HP with an Air Grabber my husband built up with the Factory Direct Connection catalog parts. The engine was eventually around 450HP. He installed a 4,500 rpm high speed torque converter and a manual value body in the A727B trans with a Dana 4.10 in the back. It had a sound like no other when it idled and when you got on it all hell broke loose! We should have never sold that car!!! It was a lot of fun. He used to say... "MOPAR or no car!"
Had a 70 Cuda 440 , 6 pack 4 spd shaker car built up it was the fastest mopar I've ever had and alot of fun, I too should have never sold it, im working on a 69 roadrunner 4 spd at the moment not sure when it will be done, ive always wanted a 70 roadrunner there cool looking
A12 Roadrunner...my favorite muscle car of all time
Good looking Mopar Muscle right there. Waaay back in high school a friend of mine had a 70 road runner. They were out one night and he put it on its top in a ditch. Glad I missed all that.
I remember when those beautiful cars were all over our American roads. Now our roads are just littered with ugly foreign POD Eyesores.
Amen..
I'm in love again. What a work of art. If I ever win the lottery........
American Muscle Cars are always #1.
In 1973 I was living In Juarez, there was a guy from El Paso he would show up every other week. His car was brown 1969 road runner and the hero of the hood would take 6 0r7 of us to the baseball game sometimes we were more. I mean it was jam pack. He was happy we were happier! To make things better...there was another guy who would show up you at the same time. He had no car but those two were buddies. But there was no ride for us then. But there was lunch white bread with bologna and a big coca cola. Yes there are some living hero's out there. Like they say paying it forward. Amen
This car is growing on me.. I can almost picture it in my driveway, here in Arizona..
I believe that new owner is HAPPY, I would !! Nice piece of Muscle car history.
Man that is a sweet car. Just what I want. too bad I ain't got that kinda money. I love that old school style with the big meats in the back.
Beautiful old monster
I would have a heart attack if I walked into that showroom lol
Love the tires and rim choice
Watta car vanguard always has the sweet rides
Love the wheels on this thing.
I owned a beautiful red ‘69 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible (white top) with red interior. The original owner had ordered it built with the 383 MAGNUM installed making my 500 model more rare than the ‘69 Coronet R/T’s as almost all 500’s had the 318 or the 383 non-Magnum 2-barrel engines. Most folks went for the R/T model when they wanted hi-po but for some reason the original owner of mine wanted hi-po in a 500. Anyway, I owned it about 6 years from about 2000 to 2006 when I had to sell it due to some tough financial times for me then. How I do miss it.
AT 69 YRS. OLD I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE IN ALOT OF MUSCLE CARS, ROAD RUNNERS, GTX, GTO, CHEVELLES, MUSTANGS WHEN THE GCR IS ANNOUNCED I WILL HAVE THE DOE TO BUY ONE OF THESE CANT WAIT. 454 CHEVELLE FIRST CHOICE WITH HOLLEY EFI CONVERSION TO SAVE GAS.
Tech in carbs has come to the point theres really no difference in mpg if your tune is good. Aftermarket efi will never be worry free as oem...get an AED carb they calibrate it for your engine...bolt on and go no adjusting.
Had a 68 automatic 383. Blew it up at the Pamona air port in California racing a plane. Left it in second tell it blew apart. I lost.
If I had the money!!! Sold!!! Perfect 👍👌😊
What a bad ass car! Wish they had one of these in the fast and furious serious
They do in Tokyo drift. At the end where dom appears with his road runner
I worked in transmission shops in 60s&70s I was putting a clutch in a Dodge super bee I thot ahhh don't need a trans jack...what a MISTAKE ...those 4 spds weigh a TON!. I was a skinny turd back then... I like to killed myself trying to let it go WOW.
I got to drive a lot of these muscle cars....I worked @Ford dealer too...lots of Mach 1s...Boss Mustangs....HAD to test drive and make sure they were OK...lol...Later had my own Automatic transmission shop..Hard on your health!!.
I would luv to have a plum crazy or lime green 440 six pak or Hemi 1970 GTX or Cuda❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
12:05 now thats what im talkin about. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Had a 68 GTX Cuda luv the440. Very reliable on street
Mopars always did have the most character with their loud colors graphics and scoops
Love a 70 Challenger or Cuda in Panther pink with black stripes. Dont know why but thats a cool color. (flame on!)
Beautiful car and great video
Love the slotted Dish rim's. My favorite 's
I got Vanguard on speed dial for when i win the fat one. That Roadrunner is perfect.
Love this car my favorite car and favorite year of the road runner . Kinda makes me want to sell my 68 barracuda fastback and look for a decent 69 road runner .
As soon as I hit the lottery I'll be wanting 6 of these.
Had the 383 Magnum 4-speed one with the two broad black stripes on orange. Remember seeing those 440s and wishing mine was one. Greener grass, I suppose, since a 383 Mag version was plenty powerful.
Memories.
Great car! He should have the actual mechanic who worked on the car explain more technical details in these videos also.
I'd like to take it to church on Sunday and then over to Bingo. Oh I love ❤ the color dear, is it good on gasoline ⛽??,, Well I'm off,I'll have to take it for a spin around the block sometime and meet you gentlemen, God bless!💒🚦🤝✌🙏🤶🐺
Was the Hickory stick stock in 69 ?...Is it numbers matching??
Damn looks like a new car flawless work
Dam that's absolutely spectacular! 👍
That's why I'm not in this line of work I could never sale a ride like that. I'd want to keep them all and take turn riding them every day like back in school.
America did make the best cars in the world at one point in time !
God.......I'm slobbering !!!!
Wow! Totally beautiful!!!! What would something like this cost me? I would love to own of these beautiful machines.
Nice Car but the engine is the wrong color for this year model it should be Mopar Orange Chrysler didn't paint them Blue till after 1972 but still a Beast of a Car
I bought one in 1969, swallowed a valve at 12,220 miles, 200 over the warranty and that was the end of her...
what a beautiful car!!!!!
Now that's a great toy!!👍👍👍
Very beautiful car, would love to have it 😀
"Oh, and of course it HAS to be orange too 😠😠
Don't care for orange, but that can be changed. My personal preference is sweet pickles green.
Awesome !!!!!!! Thanks. Great video.
how much did you get for it? I am looking for 69 road runner or 68-73 chevelle
pure American muscle
Lower that back end about 2". Pro street RR. Bad Asssss!
Awesome bird 👍

Plymouth roadrunner is the coolest american muscle car ever 😎

Real Talk, A well turned 440 will run door to door with a Hemi
Beautiful car!
We agree!
I need to hit the lotto asap
My dad owned one and sold it in the late 70s
Manual steering manual brakes. 500 in Motor. Quite a handful!
I bet! Getting sideways in a manual steering car with a slow rack takes some doing! Id absolutely put PS and pdb on just makes it a bit safer
Sweet Roadrunner.
Be still my beating heart.
Perfect car!!!!!
Yep #1 road chicken, very nice indeed.
Nice car
Jeez them big tires & tall gears smoke em up
The orange color is nice but I think a dark blue would be better
Nice !😎
Looks really close to my Plymouth GTX.
Wish I had the money to start my own Mopar Collection...
I had a '69 black 440-6 Pack
Lets see, buy a car or buy a house? Hm. I wonder what my once owned by me 1971 Plymouth Satalite, 440 mag w/6pk and slap stick would be worth now.
I use to have a 69' RoadRunner! It was the fastest car I ever owned until I bought my 2SS Camaro. Its much faster!
wish i was rich i buy that
Thats a beauty 😍 👌......
im not a buyer. but i can dream right ? I am mopar man since daddy bought his first hemi back in 1957 and i was a mere six yr old . I am lil disappointed you didnt tell the horsepower though

Those days when cars were men , and men were cars. The days when you had a chick magnet. and both put out.
Biggest mistake ever made was trading in my old road runner on a brand new AMC gremlin
sorry but this was almost funny, hopefully it was an x at least lol
Was it during the gas crisis in the 70s or get married?
