I’m adopted, I decided when I was really young that I wanted to adopt as well. The last few years Ive been thinking more and more about foster care. Especially older children in the foster care system. I’m single and 29 and yet after watching this video I can’t help but wish I was in a place right now to pay it forward and adopt a foster care child. Thank you for sharing. I feel more strongly about my decision now then I ever have. This video was beautiful.
When I grow up and get married to my future husband, I’ve always wanted to adopt a boy and a girl, but I’ve always been nervous on how that would work out. My husband and I were desperate to adopt kids when we met in 1989. At the time, in Tennessee, that was a virtual impossibility because of the strong opposition to same sex couple adoption. It was demoralizing and depressing that we were deemed “unworthy”. We were extremely successful in our careers and that was not enough. My husband is now one of the top pediatricians not only in the US, but on a global platform. Our successes are beyond our wildest dreams, but we are now too old to adopt and will die childless. Children are EVERYTHING. It brings me joy that the two of you are living your best life and a gifted life. Don’t take these things for granted…

Amazing and very moving story. I was brought to tears of joy for you and your daughter. Some of those tears were for all those children who are stuck in the system. The final tears were tears of compassion and gratitude but no judgment for her birth parents who must not have been able to care for her for whatever reason. I remember Matt from Kyle XY, still one of my favorite shows and it's a shame that we didnt get a season 4, things were getting really good and that's a hellava cliffhanger at the end of 3. Just stumbled across this channel to see how things are with the cast these days. Currently doing a rewatch, just started season 3. RIP Tub.

My husband and I were desperate to adopt kids when we met in 1989. At the time, in Tennessee, that was a virtual impossibility because of the strong opposition to same sex couple adoption. It was demoralizing and depressing that we were deemed “unworthy”. We were extremely successful in our careers and that was not enough. My husband is now one of the top pediatricians not only in the US, but on a global platform. Our successes are beyond our wildest dreams, but we are now too old to adopt and will die childless. Children are EVERYTHING. It brings me joy that the two of you are living your best life and a gifted life. Don’t take these things for granted…
Hi there, you don't know me but your story touched I am so sorry that you were not able to adopt! My husband and I took 6 years to adopt our son, my husband was 41 when it finaly happened. We are a gay couple who wish more couples could and would adopt. You may not have kids now but know you can adopt our little family even if we are far away. Of all the videos you guys have made over the years, THIS ONE is by far the best. Listening to this story unfold, I had tears in my eyes. Then finding out that the girl that needed a home was the same ROSA, I was a sobbing mess. Seeing all of your beaming faces, telling this story, has brought me great joy. Amazing and very moving story. I was brought to tears of joy for you and your daughter. Some of those tears were for all those children who are stuck in the system. The final tears were tears of compassion and gratitude but no judgment for her birth parents who must not have been able to care for her for whatever reason. Thank you for being such obviously good parents yourselves.

As everyone has said it's so nice seeing your family grow, been here since you brought home Crow. And also, being adopted myself and seeing the love between you as a family is 😍 and a reminder for myself about the love I have for my parents for doing that for me and loving me unconditionally (my mother sadly past away a few years ago but I see the same big hearts in you as I saw in her.).
