  • I recently embarked on the path of custom sneakers, and i decided it would be smarter to follow the licensed pattern vice reverse engineering a pair. After purchasing my first pattern from The Shoe Surgeon, I came across Xylar Chan looking for a shoe last. Upon seeing the pricing, I chose one of their lasts and another pattern. Normally my unboxings are straight through, but I did remove parts that had personal information on them.
NOTE: I said in the video that the company was based in China. The company is based in Hong Kong.

i'm going to be doing at least the left shoe some time in the next week or so, with the video to be released a few days later. i don't have the padding foam in yet, but that's not really a factor for using the pattern.

Hey how did this end up? I’m thinking of getting his Air Jordan 1 85 hi pattern. Do you think it’s worth it?

it turned out pretty well. However, I do have to say that I started this project without the proper padding. So the overall project didn’t turn out as like how I would hoped. The pattern is quite useful though. Strongly recommend.
