Luger looks like a create-a-wrestler where you’ve messed up the nose and tried to tweak it back to normal rather than hit reset. He’s lost whatever it is that makes a nose look normal and it’s just ruined his whole head.

no moho, but big show WAS a pretty handsome guy as a younger guy. I never forgot his debut when I was a kid. they really did try to take the whole "Andre the Giant's son" thing.
although I watched WCW through the Monday Night Wars era, I don't think I appreciate it as much as I do now as an adult. I go back and try to watch what I can of that era, and find myself appreciating all the peripheral talent outside of the scope of the NWO stuff. I don't get why people TODAY say that wcw was directionless. They had tons of great things going on and did WAY better than WWF/WWE did with being diverse with all the talent they used. they used cruisers, heavyweights, tag teams in a fair ratio.

    • @BWall-h4d
      @BWall-h4d 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

WCW went from losing the race by a large margin to sprinting into a wide lead for a few laps,
before deciding to showboat and f'k around, causing them to stumble badly multiple times and eventually injure themselves out of the race entirely.
Whereas WWF kept a steady pace throughout, always kept the lead in sight no matter how far behind they'd got, then went full Super Sonic the last few laps into a beyond clear victory.

WCW was miles better then WWF in 1997. I was 15 and It was amazing to tune into Nitro every week to see what was happening. So many guys were hot that year Sting, lex luger, Hollywood Hogan, The Giant, Kevin Nash, Randy Savage, Diamond Dallas Page, just to name a few. In my 34 years as a wrestling fan, I've never enjoyed a full year of TV as much as WCW in 1997.

100%. I thought I might've been biased as I saw WCW a little in 94-95, then every week in 96 when we got satellite TV. WWF arrived in 97 and by the end of the year I would say WWF sucks except for Austin and Bret, and now Bret's in WCW. I watched Raw '97 over again recently and stand by that it sucked.

Something wrestling back then got correct and most often doesn't now, (especially in AEW) is be willing to take time for a long, super drawn out angle. If done right, it can be way more interesting and exciting than a more fast-paced show with too many angles to keep track of. This is especially true if the show is filled with a bunch of trashy Jerry Springer style junk that's just written to be shocking for the sake of being shocking (Vince Russo). The Sting thing is the perfect example. He was more over than almost every one in the company, and did it by, not only not wrestling a single match, but not even saying a single word.

Scott Hall was pretty switched on with pop culture and turning that into a gimmick, kind of underrated as a mind for the business. When he goes to Vince, "Yeah, no that gimmick sucks. Btw have you ever seen Scarface?" turns it into a top gimmick that makes him so popular they have to turn him babyface after starting as a heel. Sting's gimmick is falling out of fashion by the mid-90's and his babyface surfer dude gimmick is not connecting with fans. "Yo, did you ever see The Crow?", turns into a huge gimmick that makes Sting a megastar years after his 1990 peak defeating Ric Flair.
Not only smart at making himself but he made another guy with an initial idea and now had a new hot babyface to work with. Understood the business and how to make money better than most.

Everybody on the WCW side didn't believe Sting at which point after proving there was a fake Sting he did a promo where he said the fans and his friends had betrayed him despite him being always being a good guy. Then he went emo and bought a baseball bat. Ah, pro wrestling, how much I love thee😅

Back in the late 90s, I remember the backstage tales regarding the reason why sting stood in the rafters and not wrestle. Apparantly, this was around the time of the start of Steve Borden's born again christian lifestyle. His wife took it upon herself to do the christian duty of telling other wrestlers wives about what they got up to on the road and what women their husbands had been sleeping with/having affairs with. This allegedly got Sting some backstage heat with the boys, so they bunged him out of the way in the rafters for the best part of a year until it blew over. If there's any truth to that, i don't know, but that was the tale back then

Well technically is wasn’t people asking if he’s gonna join nWo it’s them assuming he turned his back on WCW after fake Sting started showing up & not having faith in him that he’d never do something like that.

Previously months ago you were covering something with the Great Kalli in it, you guys were doging him and said what the move was that killed Brian Ong, I said you were wrong and kinda trashed you guys. I'm sorry you guys were right it wasn't a back body drop like I said it was actually a spinebuster, you were right and I greatly apologize.

Idk who tf Hasbula is. Is he an adult, a child, a dwarf or some other medical condition, Arab, or what? I'm confused. My first thought was he was a make a wish kid.

He's a Russian Muslim from one of their smaller Caucasian ethnic groups and an adult in his 20s with dwarfism. Looked it up when I first saw him because was definitely perplexed. The montage here pretty much covers what he "does"

I dont understand how Paul White could not have beaten Royce Gracie if he found himself in the final somehow in 1993 at UFC 1.
He would have been about 21 at the time and I know he was not trained to fight but he would have been at least formidable due to his massive size and strength.
