He is indeed.My issue,as a life-long comic book fan and as someone who wants to write comics in the future is that Warner Brothers squandered and wasted Henry Cavill as Superman. The guy is like Superman come to life right out of a comic book and there's so much more that could be done with Cavill as Superman! He's got the potential to be the best live-action Superman,in my opinion.But it's almost like Warner Brothers doesn't know what to do with Superman,going forward. Hopefully,they'll get their act together(as it relates to Superman)and do more movies with Cavill as Superman!
I think many actors prefer to stay in character to a degree when the cameras aren't rolling just because it's practical to do so. When you're switching to another accent it takes a few minutes to "feel" yourself back into it, so I suspect Henry just kept rolling with the American accent so that he didn't start accidentally dropping British vowels when they started filming again. There's a lot of talk about actors like Jared Leto "staying in character" on set for PR effect, but at the end of the day it's normal for many actors to preserve at least certain traits of their character (like gaits, accents, stances, body language) just to keep in the flow of things.
i don't care how much people hated on this movie..I loved it and it's one of my favorite superhero movies. I respect people's opinions but it seems like some of the criticism is too much. It's like every little thing Superman does or says it seemed to bother some fans. granted I think there were a few issues with the plot and certain character developments but this was a brilliant portrayal of a young and inexperienced Superman trying to find his place in our world. I think when he comes back in Justice League people will see the Superman they are used to. my one and only biggest complaint was Superman iconic curl missing. I liked how they did his hair but just bring that curl down!! Other than that I loved Cavill's Superman.

One of my favorite shots of all time is when he's in front of the military and it sweeps around behind them. That feeling of one man standing in front of the greatest military on the planet to protect them. Just shows how much he cares for the people/planet, but also shows how fucking badass he is.
can y'all just stop complaining about the color grading? Seriously, this is the only scene with "muted colors", and I didn't even find it to be much of a problem. You people bring in Marvel as examples of "good color grading" just because it's got bright ass rainbow colors, but colors don't matter if they don't pop out or have context to them.

I liked Amy Adams, but I don't think her character should have been in Man of Steel. Her character was thrown into situations that weren't calling for it. I would have ended Man of Steel with Clark and Lois meeting for the first time.

Amy Adams is an amazing actress. I love her, but it was a poor choice to cast her at Lois Lane. There is zero chemistry. Fortunately, her amazing acting skills saves most of the scenes but the chemistry and compatibility really isn’t there.

The original color looks just fine to the eye. Why do they got to color correct it to the blue-ish light? You loose so much details with those colors
