I loved Kurt when I was younger. He was my senior by more than 7 years when he died. But as I have grown and gained more insight and knowledge about people and the world my opion has shifted about him and his music. Anyone can dismiss my words as selling out or synism but it isn't. I loved Nirvana and I truly felt a deep loss when Kurt died. How and why would anyone do that to themselves? Putting conspiracies aside, I know Kurt was hurting. It was reported constantly, all of his interviews had that honest feeling of pain. Perhaps that fueled his creativity and inspired him. But was time has gone on for me I see is pain and a great deal of wit. He was funny and a bit silly but above all a artist. I now wonder what would Kurt be like had he not died? I don't really know. But I have changed so much since then that I no longer feel the disconnection or angst. I just hope that if there is a place where souls go, he is at peace.

Edit: Sorry, I remember the book cover of ' Heavier than Heaven' and he had a short hair.
Actually this is in 1990 he had a short hair cut, then he grew some hair, until 1992 he cut it back again.
