A lot of ppl don’t even attempt to play straight up defense it’s disgusting how they literally sit there with the center I like to spam em with screens cause if they don’t switch, it’s an open jumper damn near every time the computer sucks at dealing with screens 😂 unles you go into settings and adjust the defense settings for screens which most ppl don’t do and even then, if you ain’t manually guarding the screen it’s gonna be a long night for u

@@33Daz3 true, if you got a center who just rebounds and defends and has no jumper , it’s gonna be tough against an off baller . Now someone like Shaq, you can just throw it deep in the post against an off baller and cook. I dd this against a guy who ofbslled with Rudy Gobert, dropped an easy 30 with Shaq dunked on him all game
@hmgaming5220 pure offballing is always crazy to me. The funniest ones be where they just click off whoever you pass it to even if you pass to the center. Like they are absolutely scared to play any defense. I use the warriors with kd( yeah I'm a cheeser ik) but you literally can't play offball against them. There's so many ways to cook the computer

Off balling works when ur actually paying attention and know who to control. I think its pussy so i never played that way back when I played 2k (unless i was lagging bad or if they were doing it and they were pissing me off)

What defensive settings do you need to stop back door since the AI won’t even attempt to stick a hand out and let the ball go right by them over them!?? I’m an on ball player and lost a game from a bum who abused that bs! Even when off balling the passing lane waiting for it it’s hard to time! Game starting to be bad with how you don’t need skill! I hit 14 3s to his 4 and he won because of the broken cut system allowing it!
Nothing you can do bro lol it sucks but playing play now online & Myteam is not a viable option due to how broken the cutting system is.

Why not tell them to go back and forth to center whoever and back in front of them? No they go into a rant because we’re not doing what they want us to do and then the name calling comes into play. And these dudes don’t even call plays. They just bring the ball in and dribble to death and either shoot or drive. The way the general Play Now player acts has always given me the itch. It's as if they don't even want to play; they would think off-balling consists only in picking one player and letting AI stop the opponent, rather than reacting and anticipating to what will happen on the court.
Almost every player just look as if playing itself was a toll. They don't seem to find the act of basketball strategy as engaging and enjoyable. They always have the same behavioural patterns; they touch their balls endlessly, they love to foul on transitions and their defense consists in trying to always bump you. They literally trick themselves into thinking they are taking the useful shortcuts, whilst repeating the same bored, boring and predictable antics of everyone else. Regardless of the outcome, I can't understand how you'd find that a pleasure to go on with. It's also a pattern that you can see in most of today's online videogaming. Everybody occupying themselves with shortcuts rather than trying to find something enjoyable and personal to show off.
Very rarely you'd find opponents that actually make a game genuinely enjoyable on a strategic level.
that’s why i prefer single player games with advanced tech or fighting games bc majority of the player base actual likes to get better at the game instead of just give shortcuts or methods that only work in certain situations

hold triangle/Y, to choose who’s cutting you can move your left stick in their direction the tiniest bit OR you can click L1/LB and choose which player to make an options menu appear for and click the cut to basket option on there

Listen, it’s hard even to play defense as a professional basketball player. So whoooooo the fluck has some sort of magical defense training to have you defend somebody in front of them every time? Please stop and just play basketball. You are psyching yourself out of the game when you see different defenses. You need to just play if you”you know basketball”.

Off balling is lame, but you also can’t play on ball online 100% of the time. The CPU AI is too dumb and it’s too easy to shoot.
Some of these backdoor cuts weren’t even open…and the defender was 6-8 feet off the cutter before the cut.
Sorry, but that’s not “smart basketball” just an overpowered game mechanic that is far too easy to abuse.
Off balling is lame and cheesy…but this may be worse. Just makes for a garbage game imo.
I want people to understand that you can’t take this 2k seriously in play now online or Myteam. The cutting spam is fucking ridiculous and 8/10 you can’t stop it. Very disappointed in 2k’s lack of awareness this is one of the worst 2k’s (gameplay wise) that i’ve ever played. Consistently raising my blood pressure lol.

There is nothing wrong with off ball defense if you don’t have a bag to beat the cpu you shouldn’t be playing a $70 basketball video game it’s not hard to beat 🤷🏾♂️ the only people that get upset at off all defense are iso players. It’s not cheating otherwise the game wouldn’t let us do it. If you can’t score without somebody guarding you that’s a YOU problem

@@jayfashi3404 I think you have a typo but again if you cannot cook the AI that says more about you than the person off balling it is not difficult at all to score with the AI guarding you the only people having a problem are iso heavy players trying to curry slide all day 🤷🏾♂️ learn plays, get a bag, get better dribble moves etc etc make the off baller work you just doing an iso makes it easy for him it’s not hard to beat at all

I mean I’ll iso if I know I can do it sometimes but I don’t iso all game I know how to pass the ball when I need to so my point is that iso players are the main ones complaining about off ball defense and another point is that if you don’t know how to beat AI defense that is on YOU not the off baller since there is no rule in the game that says “thou shall not offball” lol otherwise it won’t let you do it and it would be considered cheating and they’d ban your or something like that. However it’s not cheating you just don’t like the way you’re being guarded and the thing is I didn’t think I was suppose to make my opponent comfortable I thought I was suppose to win by any reasonable means just because my opponent doesn’t agree with my methods doesn’t mean I’m going to adjust to make them feel better FIGURE IT OUT and win you can have excuses or results not both 🤷🏾♂️ now if this was about zen remotes that I agree with and completely understand because that’s an unfair advantage however offballing isn’t an unfair advantage since you have the same access to it as I do the problem comes where people don’t know how to beat it when it’s fairly easy depending on what team you’re using and how they’re off balling for example if I have the bucks and you have let’s say Portland trailblazers right if I’m off balling chances are you can’t beat it only because of the team you have now say you had like 17’ warriors you’ll have a better chance because you have nothing but great shooters and stars on the whole team. I’m not saying iso will beat the ai defense that’s exactly how offballers win what I’m saying is that you make the offballer work on defense and you’ll have a better chance it’s not hard to beat at all if you know what you’re doing 🤷🏾♂️
