I've been slowly buying REDODO Group 24 12 vDc 100 Ah LiPo4 whenever I get a decent discount code and free shipping over the last few months. Excellent battery for my emergency preparedness program and future OFF GRID home. Going to get more
I built my first diy 2000w system with those batteries and they are still ripping solid. I’m in Colorado and they see long high and low temps and no issues after a year or so 👍
Out of 3 budget batteries systems I have my 7.6kwh Redodo battery bank is rock solid. It isn't cold here and when it is closing off ventilation is more than enough to keep thing running just fine. If I need abusive energy the gel batteries are golden!
I've been seeing these more and more, and really appreciate the truth's you guys put into your reviews! Couldn't agree with you more on the pricing and quality of the EG4 batteries!
Cheap would be the DC House batteries I’ve been getting, one 12v 200 AH and two 48v 50 AHs. Their BMS is more functional. It shuts off at 100% charge and that’s good because overcharging is a far more frequent danger than cold weather charging.
Awesome video. A few weeks ago I purchased 4 Vatrer Power 12V 100Ah lithium batteries, they are well made and provide reliable power for my off-grid system!
Few weeks ago I caught the powerqueen brand (12.8v 100aH) LiFeP04 batteries on for $190... I bought 4 of em... Prof Hobo and Will Prowse didn't seem to have an issue with that brand so hopefully they'll work out. Gonna wire'em in 48v and connect to the EG4 3000
I think the point of them being "mini" is you can fit two of them in the space of one old lead-acid battery in a camper / golf cart / boat. Then wire them in parallel to get 200ah in the space of 100. I guess if they assume it's going to be in a vehicle, it won't get super cold? I'm sure I've seen reviews of other Redodo batteries that were better than this.
Relying on an over-temp sensor (which are notorious for failing) to shut off the output is one of the biggest flaws in the budget LFP batteries. That BMS clearly has no over-voltage discharge protection...and that makes it a NO GO in many situations. Yes, you can install a quality fuse or resettable breaker. Yes, you can rely on the circuitry somewhere in your load/device. It's still not a good design, especially since the difference in cost between a BMS that has true over-voltage protection isn't that much more. Hope you don't get sued for an honest review.
Starting no! Charging a dead car battery sure. Starting a car takes way more amps than these batteries can handle. I have jumped my jeep with one but only after letting it equalize for a while. Definitely not recommended.
Starting batteries are built different inside. They're meant to be at 100% charge all the time, then jumped down to 90% charge (or so) in a flash and charged right back up. I'm not sure there's any lithium ones that can do that, but lead-acid starter batteries work thousands and thousands of times anyway.
Generally not an issue indoors or in milder environments. I have a backup system that has gel batteries so not a concern for me. Personally I don't get batteries with all the extras that can fail. The only battery failure I've had is a "smart" battery.
I actually have a battery that I want some people in this field to try. It’s called XRH new energy. And they have a 250 amp BMS and 280 W hours with 24 V and it’s about 25 inches long and I wonder how good of a management it is with the space and the BMS has Bluetooth and it looks like a pretty good price too and they’re on Amazon, so I’d like Will will Prouse or you guys to tear open a battery and see what’s inside💯💯💯👍🏽🇺🇸❤️👍🏽🇺🇸❤️👍🏽🇺🇸❤️👍🏽🇺🇸❤️👍🏽🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️👍🏽❤️

Same here! Over 7kwh and not a single failure.

I have one from 2020. That was before they changed their name. I hope they finally spend the extra $0.50 to add cold weather shutoff to the BMS.
Redodo, LiTime and PowerQueen are the same company.
Tiny Baby Hammer Toss test… we need more of those
Thank you for being to the point. It helps me weed through the misinformation that’s out there.
Great presentation guys, are you able to look/review the new upcoming solar powered camper fridges in the future, please? Your show rocks. 🇦🇺 🪃
The link for the EG4 12V 100AH battery does not seem to work. I do not see that battery on that page nor do I find in on their site.
Do they have a 48Volt version?

Ok....now, do a review on the Redodo 12.8v 140ah w/BT that retails for $220 on eBay! :-)
like it🥰 how it compare to Vatrer power batteries, would like to see you explain Vatrer power
You have to spend $500 for the discount code to work
Would be perfect if it had a light on it! 😉
I'm looking for a replacement 12v 100ah battery to replace the ones in my Goal zero yeti tank ones. Can someone recommend?
What type of battery is it? Could it be used in a car to start it?

You can but you’d need to change out an expensive amount of electrical stuff to not fry your fuses and wires
i like DC House Bro
what happend to the cars man? werent you "staying commited"
Ya. The BMS is garbage on these. The BMS doesn't kick in and the battery ends up over discharging. The battery is only a month old
It does not have low temperature protection.
Generally not an issue indoors or in milder environments. I have a backup system that has gel batteries so not a concern for me. Personally I don't get batteries with all the extras that can fail. The only battery failure I've had is a "smart" battery.
I don't get the tiny baby joke, he's not that big etc. Is there some context to that? Or you just like f--ing with him lol
More like ReDoDont!
Hatin’ azzzzzzz
Brooooooo why tf you left us waiting. Could of tell us you start this channel
What’s the build quality inside??? Lame !
There's several channels that take these apart, and I expect most of them have done this brand (or it's predecessor, which I forget the name of)
@@michaelmartin9022 then there’s no point of them making a video about it.
Inclusive? Do you need a gay battery?
Well you can chain them together...
