fun fact, when STARSET plays Monster live, they have their guitarist (Brock Richards) and bassist (Ron DeChant) do woahs alongside the synth. without even seeing them live, SFuture predicted they do woahs during the synth parts lmao
Also, more STARSET lore for ya, but here's the bands lineup if you were interested: Dustin Bates: Vocals Ron DeChant: Bass Brock Richards: Guitar Adam Gilbert: Drums Siobahn Cronin: Violin Zuzana Engererova: Cello Cory Juba: Synth, Keyboard and Guitar Ron and Siobahn used to do keyboard and synth live before Cory joined the band. Also, when STARSET is in the studio recording an album, the only actual member of the band involved is Dustin Bates. he gets other people to help produce and record instruments for the albums, for example, Jasen Rauch of Breaking Benjamin recorded guitar and bass for HORIZONS, and Luke Holland did the drums on DIVISIONS.
People don't usually watch the video on this song specifically and right it off as another one of those kind of Monster songs. The song isn't even about the person singing, he's simply the narrator.
While not my absolute favorite, Monster definitely is one of their best. The lyrics, while not as good as some of their other songs, are still great, and the vocal capacity that Dustin gives off is amazing
What i get from this is people can't face their truth a break up a death as such so they live in the memories of the past stuck in their own grief and by not facing this truth which is the shadowy figure which to them the truth is a monster Sacred and hard to face alone the woman was sacred but she finally faced her truth her reality and started to accept the truth which why she grabbed his hand We all can't escape the sadness and grief others have done to us stuck in this struggle i am the Monster they made me which i believed i was a monster my pain my anger i still haven't gotten over it I let them in shared my secrets my life my soul my love all for them to use break and destroy me thinking i was at fault ganged up on forced to apologize for being me like myself was the problem who i was is a problem This is the truth i couldn't face my fears my anxiety of this my memories was my Nightmares but as i finally escaped them i never truly left in my head As it tooked years to realize I'm not a monster i am human i never was a monster it never existed yes i am still stuck in my memories of them for i never really got closure and without it i really can't move on from this The truth is scary it's hard to face but i know I'll have to stare it in the face and accept it. will it break whats left or will i grow from the experience will it make me stronger than i ever been or will i fall and never wake
I know I must be getting on your nerve by now (sorry bout that) but Black Veil just released a new song called Saviour II with a music video and it's so beautiful and I dare say Andy's best vocals to date. On another note, Annihilated Love by Starset is a really cool song, as well as Telekinetic and if you wanna check out something sad, Something Wicked is incredible. Always love your reactions (especially BVB hahah) !
I thought the meaning of this song was talking about technology for an example the you’re the love that I hate because we love and hate technology but this new meaning of how we are blinded by lies and we need to be awakened to the truth and going back to the technology part when you look at the shadowy figure’s face it looks like static a bit that’s another reason why I thought it was talking about technology but I like this new meaning makes more sense
This may not be a popular ask, but since I’ve seen a lot of metal heads and people who enjoy the rock genre in general like him.. can you do some NF reactions? His music is hugely impactful, lyrically and otherwise. He’s a “rap” artist but he has great music. If you haven’t already heard of him or heard a lot of him, please check him out even though you’re a mostly a rock reaction channel, I think a lot of people would enjoy those reactions for NF too.
God I would love to react to him but sadly I’ve been a huge fan since like 2017. I’m hoping he’ll drop something new this year and I’ll definitely check it out on the channel 🤘🏻

Trials and Manifest are from their Divisions album
There is no order you need to listen to there just is „THE ORDER“

We all can't escape the sadness and grief others have done to us stuck in this struggle i am the Monster they made me which i believed i was a monster my pain my anger i still haven't gotten over it
I let them in shared my secrets my life my soul my love all for them to use break and destroy me thinking i was at fault ganged up on forced to apologize for being me like myself was the problem who i was is a problem
This is the truth i couldn't face my fears my anxiety of this my memories was my Nightmares but as i finally escaped them i never truly left in my head
As it tooked years to realize I'm not a monster i am human i never was a monster it never existed yes i am still stuck in my memories of them for i never really got closure and without it i really can't move on from this
The truth is scary it's hard to face but i know I'll have to stare it in the face and accept it. will it break whats left or will i grow from the experience will it make me stronger than i ever been or will i fall and never wake
Trials and Manifest are not from Vessels, they're from Divisions (the album that came out following Vessels). Nontheless, they're great too.
Thank you
