I prefer column mounted shifter padles. I autocrossed a MK7 GTI for a year with a DSG and the steering wheel mounted shifters are impossible to use for that so I ran it in auto mode the whole time. Also its kind of funny they do these CUVs for the track test events like that since most track day organizers don't allow SUVs at all...

That does look like fun, but their should be at least 1 SUV with a manual transmission in the market! Bronco doesn't count
