I think that an Enduro setup ill be more effecient and 'faster', as proven here... on tracks that don't overwhelm an Enduro bike. This is mostly due to the progressitivty of the suspension and less rolling resistance. Just less energy loss.
A trail bike will out-trail an enduro bike for the same reason...
However once things do get chundery, loose and has successive hits etc.. thats where having the extra 20-40MM of linear, deep, coil suspension and super soft, yet super strong and aggressive tread will more than catch up, as well as provide forgiveness.

Yeah I definitely feel that, I’ve owned a trail bike, XC bike, a hard tail and downhill
Bike and can definitely feel the difference between all of them

Nuh uhh, you want a trail bike, cos I imagine you’ll be wanting to do mostly jumps and jibs with some uphill and downhill

not to get political or anything but i think road bikes are technically, spiritually, and mentally better for mountain biking, then mountain bikes themselves
