I know Stuart Robert is a fan of the prosperity gospel, but to claim a $45.000 earner should be taxed at the same rate as a $200.000 earner boggles the mind, not to mention the furthering of inequality. It is the best argument to bring back the Unions
The focus is still all wrong. Having a life should not mean having a job or a career. It should mean having a life. There will always be things that need to be done, but the conversation should never be about making sure everyone has a job. We work just to make money, not to actually do something that needs to be done and that's just no way to run a society. We should not have to work more of our waking lives than we live and we should not have to pay for basic necessities like food, water, housing, medicine, education, etc. Requiring that payment turns our society into a pay to live game. A game that the rich will always win and the poor will always suffer and die in.
Do you reckon Albanese plans to nationalise Qantas? He is trying to go back to the 1970s when we had state-owned airlines. Exprct the TWU would want it to be government owned because they would run it. In 2020 Albanese wanted to nationalise Virgin at the behest of the TWU. They could call it Aeroflot.
Love how Stan only ever interrupts the female guests. Cannot get over how generally disrespectful this man is and I have no idea why he still has a job.

Unfortunately, some of the young people are sucumbed in drugs and they dont want to have a career, no even to find a job, is easy to leave from the dol, and government ecourage this more by increasin CL payments!! I am 62 and still working, my young naighbours dont work and drink all day!! Hey Malena - it’s not at all easy to live on the dole, it’s a miserable existence where everything you do is checked and monitored, your presented as lazy and a bludger in the media - it’s common for those on JSP to fall back on drugs, alcohol or gambling just to try and escape those feelings. It’s worth noting that the increase in JSP (and crucially the suspension of mutual obligations) during the pandemic was reported to actually reduce the number of those on Centrelink payments seeking help for addiction or substance abuse issues. Your not alone I’m not receiving wage increases. Wages have been flat in this country for a decade now, all whilst the rich get richer. I don’t know what can be done about that, my friends in the UK suffering from the same decade of no wage growth, are all getting increasingly serious about taking industrial action-perhaps in time many of us here will find that may be our only solution also. Stay well & Regards
Young people realise it's not worth slaving away 40 hours a week for minimum wage making billionaires richer. They see their parents work their arse off, unable to afford a mortgage or retirement and certainly not both. Where's the incentive? Raise workers income Australians are sick of being exploited, so now businesses are begging for fresh immigrants to exploit.

Q: why the tax cuts for the rich?
A: We are struggling with our budget
me: What? can someone make her answer make sense?

How dare people who live on this planet expect to live on this planet!
The big corporations paying no tax are getting the fairest go and the top 1% will soon get a fair go too! Everyone else, not so much!

Stan Grant integrated AC Grayling really well there. Refreshing to have an international perspective.

U are right
The dole is below the poverty line and to meet the "mutual obligation" requirements you are basically working up to a 40 hour week. It's not easy.
