+Alana Miller If the dirt/grass clumps up enough, it becomes very slippery when the studs are hardly sticking out. The idea is to consistently have perfect traction on any conditions.
+ryan__soccer I rarely ever play in the mud I only play in the mud once a year so for me it's 65 extra dollars/euros for something I never use

Nike should soon use this soleplate as a hybrid soleplate so instead of spending humongous amounts of money on two separate boots for two separate conditions, only one boot is enough to use whenever needed in whichever conditions.

Ok so I know this video is OLD but here goes. Has anyone had any ‘bubbling’ with Nike anti-clog sole. Just the anticlog coating seems to have shrivelled and got like a couple little squiggling bubbles/worms almost. Doesn’t seem to affect it but wondered if anyone else had come across it

1st up the price is not affordable anymore. I think that performance products already got way too expensive but 275 € for a Tiempo which does not last for half a season and 365€ for a magista that looks ugly... Nike, shame on you. And also it looks ugly and I think that it does not work AS good as they say

If the soleplate uses the water in the mud to make sure it doesn't stick, why did you use water in the shots with the black background?

Probably because Nike have used the Tiempo Legend SG-Pro sole plate as a base for Anti Clog, and with the Mercurial having the anatomical plate, the whole point of the boot would go away if you introduced a flat sole. That's my guess at least, nothing has been said officially. /Jay

I literally just got them yesterday#anti-clog.
I play football very often, and mud is very much a pain, but when I play on surfaces that do have mud the mud isn't always very moist or damp. Do you think that the anti-clog would still work in these conditions? If not do you think that Nike will be able to work out kinks in the future that make the soleplate lubricated at all times?
Sup man. To be honest it's too difficult to say, as I don't know the threshold for when it works and when it doesn't. I'm not sure how much water exactly is needed for it to be lubricious at all times, but it's quite a bit - so I'd be wary of purchasing them before being 100pct sure they'd work. I think Nike are working on improving it all the time but it's difficult to say if there's a solution so it's always lubricated in the works. Don't think it's possible to be honest, as lubricious materials often dry out if not constantly wet. /Jay

It's because the Superfly 4 has been discontinued and taken over by the Superfly 5 - so once the boots are sold out, Nike won't produce more. /Jay
At practice I play on a pitch that had almost no grass and it’s at night so it’s a little damp. About 5 min in to practice I am slipping cause the mud in my boots I have phantom 3s does this actually work
