I got 34/40 right. Some clarifications: Longyearbyen in Svalbard is the farthest north settlement in Europe ... and in the world. Bern not not THE capital of Switzerland, it is one of three: Bern, Geneva and Lucerne. I'm not sure the population of European Russia is greater than Germany's; the quiz apparently uses the total population of Russia, including its Asian area..
Q2 Hammerfest is at 70deg39N, population 7119. Honningsvåg is 70deg58N and has 2575 residents. If you count Svalbard as Europe (where else would it be?) then Longyearbyen at 78°12' N and pop 2400 is probably the correct answer.
Not a sovereign state recognised by at least one other UN member state. Nevertheless, yes, a country within the United Kingdome of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Vatican is technically a UN General Assembly observer state. The last full European UN Member state would actually be the UK.
Don't worry, so was the quiz setters , 4 answers were wrong and one was misspelled. I think they misread an atlas 20 minutes before setting the questions. 4 wrong ones were capital of Switzerland, northernmost town, last country in the alphabet and the Dubrovnik one. And of course Lativa is not a country.
Russia is not in Europe. This is political oportunity of ex leader of EU,including A Merkel, etc.Dont blage but ,here we now ,war in Ukraina.Russia newer in history of the world not be in EU,this is blage. Now russian eassy smailing and make joje of this.

Not quite.
A large majority of Russias poppulation is west of the Ural mountains and river meaning it is still the largest population wise
Good quiz
Thanks
The country south of Croatia is Montenegro, not Bosnia. Dubrovnik, which is part of Croatia, is south of Bosnia.
Very good quiz. 30 out of 40 but learned a lot
I got 36/40, not bad!
Full marks as geography interests me!!
Mine is shameful 11/40,guess where am from the pacific islands, haha good excuse.enjoyed it.cheers

I knew about 12 forgot about 12 never knew the others
Lativa? Not Latvia?
Wales is the last country alphabetically in Europe not Vatican City

W Bro 🎉
I got a whole 17 right, better than I thought I would do. Oh, by the way it's Latvia, not Lativa.
Actually I got 18 correct.

36/40
Question #10 has a wrong answer. It's Montenegro, just below Dubrovnick
22 😎😉
for 28, a fifth country is Macedonia.
I was wondering the same smh..not like any pivotal figures in history are linked 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Sorry but it's NORT Macedonia, therefore not counted.
I got 27, but geography quiz? AL least one third is not about geography.
16/40 😢
I only got about 10 right, too obscure. How would you know the northern most city or an eastern Euro currency, only a few people.
Question #28 Macedonia?
Was thinking the same
It's NORTH Macedonia officially therefore not counted.
The correct spelling of the Spanish island is Mallorca; not Majorca.
I got two questions right 😆 My knowledge about Europe is dog sh*t!

Technical is there no capital of Switzerland. Bern is only the place for the parliament and the government.
Six of these answers are utterly incorrect!!
Way too esoteric. What is the largest port in Germany? Really?
It's a fair question and the sort of question that comes up in Trivia and quizzes quite often.
