Nice install! I see you used eternabond tape. How did you remove those tabs that stick out on the outside frame of the fan? Any issues with the fan or eternabond?
Ours hasn't leaked yet, but our roof isn't pooling water either so its really hard to say. You can try to install in a spot where the pooling is more minimal.
I think because you don’t have lithium batteries you should be ok. From what I have read the circuit board on the max air fan can fry out if voltage exceeds 14.6, which in lithium batteries when they are charging, from solar or from your alternator they can get up to 15.6 V sometimes. Then when they are no longer being charged they will return to a normal charge level, but if you are charging the batteries and running the fan at the same time you can run into trouble. There’s a good video about installing a butt connector to control the voltage flow to the fan though to solve this problem.
Great stuff, no fluff, extra talking just to the point. The fan install answered a bunch of questions!! Camping world here I come!
Watched a dozen or more videos and this is the best one 🤝
Cleanest install I've seen. Yes. you have soothed my OCD on an
A+ install.
Box trick is outstanding - also simple and easy.
Thanks so much for showing how you did your van conversion. It’s a lot of help.
thanks for taking time to make these... much love to you!
Very simple straightforward how to do it nicely done my good sir
I have the same van and the same fan. Thanks dude!!
So good and clean!!! Glad to find you!
Great video! I have had a fan awhile lol 😃 and Econoline also. Great install! Thanks.

Followed perfect except I put in backwards lol ....LIFE.
My econoline is pooling water on the roof, do you think it would leak? Yours looks super well done!

Great install! I hope you also vacuumed your rain gutters after using the angle grinder up there. :-P
predrill holes ?...what size bit ....my instructions do not say to do that , and i did not get self taping screws
Confidence is using a Sharpie to mark where it will go.
Where can you buy the vent fan?
how did the fan do so far?
Was it mere did you not mention all the tape you were using the name of the tape
How has your fan fared? I've seen mixed reviews on this unit and didn't realize it till after I ordered it
So far so good, fingers crossed it stays that way!

Who makes the rack you’re running?
It was a custom rack the contractor we bought the van from had installed, it was a huge plus for us when buying it!
shuda cleaned the area you put tape with rubbing alc
Should have drilled for screw BEFORE you applied the butyl tape
