WOW! What a great collection of hot rods you have here. The closest I have ever come to driving one of these babies is "Speedy" my remote contol hot rod.
TheIrek666 well my good ol pal, please don't forget me 5years from now. The collection will only get moawesome just like you n I ol chum. Stay in touch.
I am surprised that it blew a head gasket? I have a ZZ502 in a '71 Chevelle 4sp, 4:11 for the past 8 years and I beat the hell out of it every chance I get. I do check the intake and head bolts from time to time because of the aluminum to cast iron. I like the gasket cleaner trick! Greg
Back in the '80's, Hot Rod Mag ran articles on emissions and the legality of engine swaps. For example, after '83, you went by the year of the engine plus the motor had to be offered in that body style. This was to keep people from swapping 454's into Camaros. Looking at some of Leno's swaps, was the law changed?
Very first 572 right... Now watch ( TRUCKS Copperhead interior part 1 ) and that vid says that is the very first 572 (001) production block. Who "really" has the first one?
Awesome collection. My name is Justin I'm 19 and i want to get a old shelby mustang for my first car. im ok with shifting but i prefer automatic does anybody know if there are any around Massachuttes
pretty sure there were no automatics for them. learn to drive stick though. i didnt want to before i first did, then i tried it and i love driving manual. its a feeling that cant be put into words
you know ive never meet jay leno but i know he worked as a mechanic in his younger years and just because he has money and wild ideas to build all of his dream cars and you dont doesnt mean you have to be a complete ass hole to him....a car guy is a car guy weather he was a mechanic or not....open you eyes and look around just because someone is better than you doesnt mean you have to be an ass
Now here's a funny thing, jay just said that he had the first 572 engine. Thing that is confusing is when copperhead was built on the show "Trucks" with Stacy David, he got the first 572 for that truck. Who's bullshitting?
i'm sure he does! he knows enough about them it seems. he probably just doesn't have the time so he has other people do the dirty work;) he's got the money to hire them anyways haha
he does basic work he has a full time mechanic if you ever watched OverHaulin you would see is wrench turner with a 56 Nomad Jay had done on that show for him
jealous much? what does it matter. the money is either going to him or the guy at the top. if you dont like it the way it is then live with it. complaining aint going to change shit.
This is one of Jay’s cars I just love!
jay is a serious wrench he was a motorcyle mechanic and a real hot rodder. he does his work.
Jay, again, you are the man!...(look at the size of those piston's)...Thanks again for being a true car guy and purist.
Makes me think about my dad having his 1952 Mercury for 25 years now, got it a little after I was born in 89'.
I like a lot of Jay's cars. He's a true car nut. One of my favs is the SHOgun. I'd love to have that little monster.
How cool it must be to have a job working at Jay Leno's garage

I would love to work for Mr. Leno...... that would be a dream job taking care of such a great collection.
He promised me that 5 years from now I can take over Jay Leno Garage. I'm little bit suspicious about that.
TheIrek666 well my good ol pal, please don't forget me 5years from now. The collection will only get moawesome just like you n I ol chum. Stay in touch.
Make sure u keep working on his decision. I'm counting on you.

Oh snap 34 years
stacy david has one of the first 572's from the factory but jay leno's is actually the first one off the production line, stamped 001 vin code
that bike was crazy

i concur about a lot of what jay says.
Gaskets can be a pain. They can fail from lack of use. ;-)
I like the shop scooter or should I say self propelled lunch box.

I’m surprised Jay doesn’t have a Superformance GT40MkII. That’s a real GT 40 replica,even maybe better than an origional GT40.
They just changed a head gasket, what's to break in?
Apparently you've never seen him work on his Stanley Steamer.

572, that's pretty big

Stacy i think got the first off the line. but Jay got the prototype which came before the production obviously.
Jay's is code 001
NICE HOT ROD TV: Big Dog Muscle
what the hell do you have to do to break a 572?
The narrator sounds like Danny Bonadouche.
jay wouldnt know a ford to a plymouth! money jay..
dumbest comment ive seen so far. congrats on this questionable success
some things need devoped and prototyped in the U.S.A..
i'm sure he does! he knows enough about them it seems. he probably just doesn't have the time so he has other people do the dirty work;) he's got the money to hire them anyways haha
The narrator is "effected"
When "we built" that Ford. Huh. He couldn't have forgotten that he simply bought it, which means he's just lying.
Must be nice
that 572 had a blown intake gasket, you could see it clearly! butwith his money rebuild it or least regasket it!
he does basic work he has a full time mechanic if you ever watched OverHaulin you would see is wrench turner with a 56 Nomad Jay had done on that show for him
he gets payed way to much
jealous much? what does it matter. the money is either going to him or the guy at the top. if you dont like it the way it is then live with it. complaining aint going to change shit.
How about we learn how to type proper sentences before we insult others.
Get a job!
