Hey Katherine! I know this is an older video, but I was searching for reviews on Oribe’s grandiose mousse and supershine light moisturising cream & there isn’t many!! Do you still like/recommend this mousse? Have you tried their supershine cream by any chance?
Yes and yes. The mousse is still one of my go-to's, aside from Kerastase. I really enjoy the scent of the Oribe and the mousse gives a bit of texture to the hair which helps with volume. I enjoy the light moisture cream, but when I've used it, I tend to use on my ends because of my finer hair... this has led to getting breakouts on my shoulders, I think, because of the product, as I've correlated when I get the breakout to the use of the product. So for that reason, I use very rarely. Other than that, I enjoyed it. :) Hope this helps.
Great vid! you should try misting some of the dry texturing spray into your roots while your hair is still damp, prior to applying the royal blowout or your prep sprays! it'll give your hair even more volume + lift! I feel like you'd really like their Invisible Defense and Glaze for Beautiful Color as well. Have you tried the Brilliance and Shine shampoo? it's really good! Another really good brand is R+Co Bleu! their Lifestyler texture spray is really nice!! I've been liking it even more than the Dry Texturizing Spray! Their Smooth and Seal mist is also comparable with Oribe's Royal Blowout, but for me performs even better. You should definitely look into them
Thank you!!! Hair is so not my forte… as much as I try! I will most certainly try your tips and product recommendations!! I’ve used O’s brilliance and R+Co for volume… the shampoo/conditioner and spray. but not the Bleu. Is that a separate line of R + Co? I’ll have to look into and I’ll try it for sure!!!
Is oribe dimethicone free? I was looking at their ingredients and the dimethicone they used is washable. Not like other dimethicones. Silicone Quaternium-8. One of the good dimethicones that washes off that dont cause build up but Im not too sure. Alot of shampoo is going dimethicone free.
In all honesty, I’m not sure, but I’ll check. I don’t know a ton about dimeticones, but was my understanding they protect the hair shaft… can also exacerbate acne if built up on scalp, but I thought was overall good for the hair… I’ll do more research.
