Today I just put it on to have it run in the background for some tranquil atmosphere. The sombre music emphasises these feelings even more. The pacing and style of your editing is second to none. The camera angles and movement you have is just incredible. Not to mention the video fidelity. I wish i could say the same about the audio but it's pretty hard to parse, at least on the tv I'm watching on. Hard to say why it sounds so muffled and restricted. Maybe you just need a better mic. She also seems tied with Miquella and Malenia’s butterflies, so she could be a third child of Marika and Radagon.
My idea is that Melina is the first child of Marika and Radagon, but born as Marikas firstborn and before she even met Godfrey. Marika gave the rune of death to Melina, because of the prophecy which was probably uttered by prophets when Melina was born. Maybe Marika thought that this was a sign of her daughter being the best safekeep for the principle of death. But Melina disagreed with Marika and, after the war of the giants, betrayed her and tried to burn the erdtree to allow proper death in the lands to be possible again. But Maliketh stopped her mid ritual, which is why Leyndell is lightly covered in ash. After that the remembrance of Melina got reincarnated inside the erdtree, but brainwashed, so that Marika has a backup option to burn the erdtree, should her betrayal of the greater will fail. Thats another reason for Melinas office to be directly besides the literal "forbidden lands" where nobody would know that she resides as a semi spirit. Her dagger tells the prophecy and is rammed into the table, as if to simply give her a sign to carry out a long awaited order.

Some other reasons I have points to who Melina’s father actually is. That would be Radagon. Reasons being: - Melina is THE ONLY potential child of Marika who has actually unleashed the Flame of Ruin which is for the fire giants to tend to. - Radagon is clearly half giant as implied by the fire giant whip. - All Godfrey children names start with “God” (with the exception of the Omen twins), all Rennal/Radagon children names start with an “R”, all Marika/Radagon children start with an “M”. - You yourself showed the smoldering butterfly. There are only 2 others, the nascent butterfly(implying Miquella’a cocoon), and the Aeonian butterfly (which implies Malenia’s rot flower in Aeonia). 3 butterflies, 3 children of Marika/Radagon. - And the final reason is the dagger of calling, the dagger Melina uses to help us against Morgott with and then apparently leaves behind in that secret room on the elevator that leads down to the Forbidden Lands from Leyendell. It is said that the original owner of the dagger is the “Kindling Maiden”, another implication that she’s part fire giant.

I don't agree with all his theories either but he revealed some facts about Marika's relationship with Radagon that made me realize that Radagon was vital to Marika winning her first war in the wake of the order. And from the very beginning of playing the game and hearing all of Melina's dialogue, I was always under (maybe even attached to) the belief that Melina was affirmatively her own person. So from that position, it made me question that she was the GEQ in some way as everyone else in the Elden Ring community seems to believe. Now when I saw Smoughtown explain that the Gloam eye had no connection to Ranni, I understood why everyone believed Melina was the GEQ, but I still don't believe the soul of Melina is truly the GEQ even with her saying that she's "burned and bodiless". I do agree Melina is connected to the GEQ, but I don't think GEQ's persona aligns with when Melina asserted to us that she has her own purpose separate from Marika and would let no one speak ill of that. Those felt like the words of a child, not a motherly empyrean or cunning empyrean waiting in the dark to come back from dormancy. Not to mention that you'd think there'd be some game mechanic to have Melina stop the Godskin nobles and apostles from harming us, which she NEVER does even if you choose to meet them in combat AFTER she returns to the Erdtree. I think it was around that time that I figured out Melina was the only one to use the Flame of Ruin. So then later on when I kept watching more stuff on Smoughtown about the fire giants(and monks), Malenia's story, Miquella's story, I think that's when I found out about the butterflies and MAYBE the names. Lol the dagger of calling I actually only found out about today.

We know Radagons Role.. he bewitches the Queen currently existing and rising in one Era. Rennala was not his First victim. Radagon and the Gloam-Eyed Queen gave birth to Melina, then Maliketh defeated GEQ and Radagon took Melina who was still an Infant by the that Time and raised her to become a Maiden for the House of the Erdtree and for Marika. If Melina phrases: In Marikas own Words- it's because she was there at the Time she was Marikas Maiden. Godwyn is the Prince of Death and Melina the Princess of Death George R.R. Martin is involved in that Story we should never forget😁

Well now, recall that not a weapon but a key item shares the exact same key details in its design, this time in black. Yes, my friends. The Gloam Eyed Queen was turned into the Fingerslayer Blade.

Melina was born under tree during shattering where her mother Marika gave her destiny to burn erd tree to help tarnished which Marika ressurected. Same as waterflow dance...Melina was able to say Marikas words on temples bec it was her memories.

YES i was thinking the same thing. I want to do a study of the hand gestures of the incantations. i.e. 3 fingers, two fingers, open palm, ect.

I think it was around that time that I figured out Melina was the only one to use the Flame of Ruin. So then later on when I kept watching more stuff on Smoughtown about the fire giants(and monks), Malenia's story, Miquella's story, I think that's when I found out about the butterflies and MAYBE the names. Lol the dagger of calling I actually only found out about today.

She being Radagons First Daughter just came to my Mind. We know Radagons Role.. he bewitches the Queen currently existing and rising in one Era. Rennala was not his First victim.
Radagon and the Gloam-Eyed Queen gave birth to Melina, then Maliketh defeated GEQ and Radagon took Melina who was still an Infant by the that Time and raised her to become a Maiden for the House of the Erdtree and for Marika.
If Melina phrases: In Marikas own Words- it's because she was there at the Time she was Marikas Maiden.
