There was about 10 of us staying at his camp. He fed us, trained us, worked out with us. I also fought in some mma events he hosted..Danger Zone. Broke my hand in one of those. I recall it fondly.
Severn was awesome on the Attitude Era. Shame that his wrestling style and no drama character didn't get "over". Being a mega MMA fan, I greatly appreciated his style. He adapted his MMA to suit pro-wrestling. I loved it. Him and Shamrock were very underrated, and should've been pushed bigtime. But at least Shamrock did have some good moments and matches with big names and future big names.
To be fair though , most of their lists have some bit of character,charm,charisma and personality i mean it's why adam B and king ross have so much fanboys

Little know Dan Severn fact: he once shook my hand at a Michigan Youth Wrestling Association (mywa for short) Folkstyle Wrestling tournament. I believe it was the south west Michigan regionals of 05. He presented the medals to all of the kids who placed and I got second in my weight class. I also met Rashad Evans at a youth wrestling tournament 2 weeks before he won his first UFC title.
