This game is 1 of my favourite fighting games ever , but the combo system in xmen vs streetfighter , Marvel super heros , Marvel vs capcom 1 is harder and more rewarding then Killer instinct 1
They weren't that skilled.... When people throw a combo starter attack so recklessly that it gets blocked and countered repeatedly is not skillful. I got annoyed and wished I was their playing.

Bruh I can't. I skimmed through this tournament and watched that Spinal vs Orchid fight around the 14m mark, and like damn, how did that Orchid never pull of a Combo Breaker when Spinal kept using the same opener and linker?
I was that Orchid player in the finals, I forgot that the combo breaker was a specific button at a certain point. I don't play as much as I would love to and some things I forget certain things. I'll give Lumbo credit, I never seen him play Spinal.

Woah the memories of playing this in the arcade. It was in the mall in an arcade called Aladdin's Castle...Tusk, Chief Thunder and Fulgore were my favorites..
I just noticed this was at the galloping ghost. Our family was going to take a trip out there this year but now we can’t. We watch the tour videos of the arcade and love the games you have. But I didn’t know you had KI, and Tournaments. I was the KI champ in 1994 Vancouver Washington Wunderland Arcade and feel like I could take the Gold at your next tournament. Challenge set.
@@phlie Yep, Pi's can't play them yet. MAME cabs have been playing them for a while, and I think the only licensed way to play them is KI Xbox One. So between licensing, needing a higher cost emulating solution, it probably won't be in the cards for a while, at least from a start-up company.

to the host/creator,,can you lower your mic?.. voice is too loud....did you have the 5 starts settings and beat the game in 22 minutes with Spinal..??. was done in CUBA,,by this person. SNES,, 20 minutes recreation time in middle school..just spinal.
BRO! It's not like it used to be! Very few play this game now... a couple guys I'd play against in the older days were such superb players it would put almost all these players to shame. I'm a good player but not top notch.

Game seems so cheap. Seems like there's no counter play to combos. I never seen so many perfect wins in a single fighting game tournament. Once they get their combos rolling, it's basically gg
@@ThreeEyedPea its pretty easy...I think it was- hard breaker beats medium linker, easy beats hard linker and medium beats easy linker. Each character has a different breaker...ex glacius is the ice lance(back to forward any punch). Orchids is flick flak(back-forward any kick)
why is everyone selecting the crap characters, saberwolf boring, TJ combo boring, the only existing character is orchid, where's jago, thunder, etc... and rest of the cast, (I suspect these guys can't do quarter circle forward or quarter circle backwards or dragon punch, all the they know is just charge back and forward then press button)
you must not know anything about KI 1 if you think Sabrewulf n TJ combo are crap but you might be right about these guys not knowing how to do a fireball

( I was playing KI1 and KI2 in the arcades mid 90's also , it was my addiction. when your mother was walking around in random arcades with you breastfeeding you , catching a glimpse here and there of this game in the arcades doesnt count as actually playing it stupid 🙄🙄🤣🤣 )
Saberwolf guy was terrible lol. He should have used glacius against orchid. I would have won this....I could shut the cabinet off with buttoned presses during gameplay, slow motion ultras, glitch ultras with screen fly off, infinite ultras and shadow slow motion glitch ultras, orchid ultras with no looking....I was king.
You can sabrewolf orchid easy. His only counters are riptor, combo and fulgore. Jago can counter any other character due to the balance base from jago.
@Neptune4g63 I can counter anything from saberwolf, he was my first character I learned. It's easier to beat orchid with glacius as I can puddle and any of her charge moves and be on the back side of her, fulgore is good for this as well. Gladius can be saberwolf as well due to his overheads on crouched or rolling opponents, amd his puddle. His shoulder rush is tip notch as well, not to mention his stabs on air attacks.
This is the most satisfying/rewarding combo system ever.

One hundred percent it was broken but the combo system with ultras just destroyed mk imo was so fun.
I wish someone would make Tournaments for classic games like this, Mortal Kombat II, Street Fighter II, King of Fighters ‘94 et al

The graphics and gameplay for this original KI is top tier.

Honestly the animations is the reason the combo system is so good in KI classic. I don’t think this combo s style would work with modern animation.
