Yeah rooms are a bit dated and price is so-so, check out Janan Villas soon, I'm paying $28 there and although its a 10 min walk to the beach, its real close by scooter. I also like Kubu Mungu most expensive room which is $40 and is really nice room, great bathroom. Warung Jawa 2 mins walk is a great place for food too, you should check them out if you have time, you see police and airport staff eating there all the time....sad to see places like this go though, I love how its so spread out. A lot of great places have been upgraded and lost the old world charm. Lets face it, you are not in Bali to spend time in your room, only to sleep hey...cheers!
@@AsiaStreet365 Yes and no, it depends what replaces them. I much prefer the old style lush garden layout of the older places to the cramped doof doof music beach club resorts that are dominating Canguu now. I great example is on Jalan Jengala. Up until about 2014 there was the Green Garden hotel, not to be confused with the one which still exists on Jalan Kartika with the same owner. Greeen Garden was knocked down and Sulis was built in its place. Its a lovely place with one of the best restraunt views in Bali from the 4th floor looking out to the outer reefs you see whn landing in Bali looking out a left window. But there is no garden & no shade from the sun over the swimming pool. So we stopped staying there and stay down the road at Palm Beach resort which has the garden and shaded pool, but we eat at Sulis....so yes and no it really goes up in replacement. The only new places I know that have retained a good size garden are expensive places like the Mulia on Gegar beach and the place South side of the beachside Hilton South of Gegar beach.

I stayed there in 2019, it is a bit old but good for the price, nice grounds and in a good area, Sanur is great, enjoy your stay 👍

Mum is great and prices have increased sine being here the last week. We booked 3 months ago and paid $40 a night which is excellent value.

Most of the old accommodations on the beach are slowly being knocked down and re built which is a shame however this is good progress.

@@VirtualHorizonz I'm not sure what's replacing these bungalows, I'm assuming high end acccomadation or part of the new hospital which is going in.
