Inside the tower on the second floor is one of the only whisky bars in Prague (called Whiskeria Bar) that serves lots of quality single malts from Scotland and other countries! They have a huge selection of Bruichladdich, and the bartenders are dressed in Scottish attire. Haven't visited in a few years, unfortunately, but have very fond memories of that place!
You are the living legend! Anytime I go back home to Prague, I follow your tips. I would completely miss all those amazing places without your guides, which is a shame, considering I grew up there. So thank you for making my stays better. Cheers from Sydney
I went to the subterranean Joystick Arcade when we were in Prague about 4 years ago and it was the perfect end to a night out. Beers and old school video games.
Finally rebooked our trip to Prague for November, two and a half years after we were originally meant to visit and we can't wait - love your videos and it makes me even more excited for our trip, so many places to see! Keep up the brilliant work - you guys are such an asset to the city of Prague! ❤
Only problem is a lot of scammers from Belarus keep coming to ruin the place takes a long time to remove them as long as you be careful of them its great.
Many thanks to you recently visited Prague n followed all your recommendations n was never disappointed rather I was awestruck about all your recommendations.. thanks your videos made the trip worth it
Vaše videa jsem objevila teprve včera, protože koncem měsíce navštívíme Prahu. Děkuji za tato skvělá videa. jsou poučná, zábavná a nutí mě k dalšímu zájmu. Už jsem se do Prahy zamilovala .
Prague is such an evolving city with new things opening all the time. Your videos always inspire my itinerary for the next time I visit!! I look forward to your summer episodes as I feel the city really comes alive. Congrats on 1+ million subscribers Honza and Janek, you both deserve it
When i was in prague i went to "ufleku" i hope this is correct ..... I drank like 15 beers there ... This beer is the best beer i ever drank A rly good tip 👍
Probably U Fleků at Křemencova 11. I also have fond memories of going there one night with my highschool class on our partly self-organised excursion abroad. If I recall correctly it was a recommendation of our local guide, and I loved the atmosphere in the pub/restaurant, as well as their dark lager.
The joystick bar is awesome. My favourite place in Prague. The staff and customers are cool as well. The wine bar is cool as well, I'd advise playing the arcade games before the wine though ;)
I wanna thank you for the TH-cam videos and money changer locations that you provide on your site. Me and my cousin just recently visited Prague. We had a great time staying at Gorgeous Prague Rooms and the receptionist lady was very helpful and was also a friend of yours. We visited all major Prague attractions and we all loved it.. Thanks and hope to come back again in this beautiful country.
I remember in 2018 my now wife and myself back packed through Europe and Prague was a place we visited. Beautiful area and being a gamer myself I remember finding the Joystick Bar while walking around the whole area, so epic and cool!
Me and my friends whent to the Kantyna last time we where in Prague. We lived it. Super cool atmosphere and top quality meats and food. I sometimes dream about this place. We also met you in som bar across the river. You are a great guy of and on the camera. Thanks for the best tour guids ever..
So many places that bring so many memories! Joystick is one of my favorite bars and the restaurant in the tower is very good. Thank you for the new tips on the coffee shops! ☕️
Thank you Janek. Thanks to you our Prague experience was beyond expectation. I even met you by chance and scare you a bit. Well I just couldnt go by you withot saying thanks for a good job with honest guide. Keep up the good work.
Gorgeous clean city! The food in the first place looked awesome. You should do one that is nightlife for young ppl. And stuff to do together as a family.
We ended up at the Kantyna after asking an uber driver to take us anywhere he liked himself, not cheap, not expensive, somewhat trendy but out of the tourist circuit. Spot on, good food and beer, fast and modern looking. we loved it, it was the only review we posted of all the places we where to. not because others restaurants were bad, but this one really shined, I really like reclaimed spaces. whish we had gone to that tower too
More and more excited for our visit starting on march 1st! You are giving me so many great ideas! I can't wait to make them come true! Thanks for what you're doing!!
When I first visited Prague in the summer 2 years ago the very first thing I saw was Maroldovo panoráma. That place was so deserted, I'm pretty certain me and my wife could be the only guests it had that day. But it's a really great hidden gem worth seeing.
Thanks to Janek and Honza for all the amazing Videos they're always making! Love watching your content so much! Definitely need to some over to Prague again. It's been way too long that i've been to that amazing City.
Went to Kantyna when I was there in 2019. Absolutely loved my experience there. The food there was amazing too. Thank you very much for your recommendation from your previous video.
a friend of mine has an apartment in a building that used to be a church. Not as cool perhaps as the recording studio of demoscener and music producer Reyn Ouwehand, which is also a former church, but just as practical. :)
I would alsl recommend the Hanoi Square Restaurant. They had an awesome Phô that was sooo rich!!! Really as if you were in Vietnam, maybe even richer, but it was awesome. One of the best Phô I ever had outside Vietnam!
Just visited Kantyna, be careful how much you ask for because we just spent 1'433czk (£51) on two huge plates. But I must say, the food was absolutely scrumptious.
Always love the Honest Guides videos. If you guys are reading the comments I would love to know your ULTIMATE day / night for a group of guys visiting your fabulous city. Ideally we would do some historical sights in the morning then lunch. For the afternoon some fun activities then evening for food and of course much much beer 🍺 😂
I did eat at Kantyna, drank at the bottomless wine place and ate at Spejle as a tourist. I'd say the food at the Kantyna really isn't very good but it is a cool place so just have a Pilsner and look around and save your money for somewhere that tastes better. Spejle has a cool ambience but the food isn't that great either; it's quite expensive for the quality. However in the same passage there's a very good open-face sandwich place - you can't miss it. Now that is really top-notch food and definitely worth the price. They make very good thick hot chocolate too. There's also a very good butcher there (I think directly opposite the sandwich place) if you want some good sausage.
Your pronunciation of the word skewer was perfect. Love your videos, Prague is a fantastic city where I enjoyed a short break to. Sparta Prague fc v Heart of Midlothian fc in 2006 I think👍👍
Miss the Galary of Steel Figures and Nightmare, Prague Horror Bar. That bar is my abolute favorite, if you like 80's and 90's horror movies I think you will like it too! Located at Ujezd 598/5 150 00 Mala Strana
Thanks will try the arcade, the tower and stick place! :D I loved the Edison its really nice even while waiting for your cancelled and next train. :D Also thanks for Kunsthalle Praha it was awesome. You are making life here so much better.
Have been to Bistro Špejle few years ago it was a good choice. i would go back if i am in Prague again, Modry zub seems to be a chain and not a original thai restaurant
*SUGGESTION* : As *mushroom* season is coming, why not to go to the nearby mushroom picking *shop called "Les Houbeles"* on Ruzova 970 (just off Jindrisska). The lady there could tell you all about the mushroom picking, and then you could take some products to the forest (maybe get the bus from Smichov to Mníšek pod Brdy where the forest behind the castle is popular to go mushroom picking). Just an idea ..
... As a Czech not from Prague: All you need to go mushroom picking is a pocket knife, a fabric bag you don't mind getting dirty, and a good knowledge of mushrooms. I lack the last item on the list. :D
@@beth12svist You don't even need a knife. The lady in the shop is an expert, and the many specialist products may be interesting for people, if not for you. It's all about broadening the mind, and not having a closed mindset. Have a good day

I prefer this kind of restaurant. You can see, what you get, can combine something. Sometimes I was going to Ikea for the restaurant only and I remember in East Germany the self service restaurants.

Thanks mate!

Sitting in Spejle bar now enjoying lunch after getting off the train. Thanks for the suggestion.

As an English teacher living here in beautiful Prague, I can tell you that your pronunciation of skewer is perfect! :D
