One thing you may not have seen yet is the annual lady bug invasion. We had thousands of them get in our cabin during construction. They aren't really lady bugs, but look similar.

And the ones we had in MI (thousands of them piling up at windows) also bit!! Little shits.

Oh the “Asian beetle” we had those in Wisconsin too! They are horrible. I’ll add to the list to be ready for!

They do work great! I’ll try and test more gadgets too that are great for the homestead!

Yes they are! I love some good gadgets! We use both daily but the humidity reader is probably more important, but the zapper is more fun! It also doubles as a night light.

We tend to get the fruit flies when we have a bowl of apples setting out. The vinegar solution works well for us, and I have seen hundreds of them eliminated this way. I'm not sure it works for mosquitoes though. That temp/humidity gauge would be great for monitoring the heated air indoors in the Winter time.

I have got a few mosquitos with the little zapper. Fruit flies it has been working great with the vinegar. The vinegar works great during the day and the zapper at night. We had some garlic drying out and not sure if they were from that. Our apples are in the fridge. I have seen a few fly out of the drain thought too. Yea the title temp/humidity gauges are handy. I was looking and they make a wireless one that you can monitor from your phone. Once I build a root cellar it would great for that.

@@HomesteadReliance You can kill drain and fruit flies with some sugar water but the water is some sort of vinegar and a tiny bit of dish soap to reduce the surface tension of it and make them drown in the vinegar.
