Evo with 1796 ccm and 204 HP, here is 220 possible, not more. Your little 180 is a 156 or 184 HP cucumber with Compressor Engine or Turbocharger, there is less cubic, smaller pistons, other intake manifold, a modified engine control unit and another exhaust system. To change or modify this to 210-220 HP, you have to rebuild this peaces and this cost you more than C250 engine....and you got less HP than you think. Buy a little Cucumber and dream big.....Only 6 Zylinder ist real.

This example of the 180 was an almost identical engine which was heavily detuned. I have owned and remapped a C220 cdi, stock C350 cdi 265 and my C180. I have driven many, many different cars so the dyno printout from MSL Performance (probably the UKs most well reputed Merc tuner) that I have in addition to my butt dyno, places that C180 at comfortably over 200hp. 210hp and 260lbft to be exact. To be clear, I'm talking crank hp. The C220 was also remapped up to 215hp, and the C180 feels no slower unless you're talking low revs. Maybe do some research before you start taking a tone with people, I would suggest starting with googling GAD C180 CGI.

@@iamcarl4591 I don't think it is timing chain or pulley related, that noise isn't perfectly syncronized with the RPM. I'd say it is the turbo

Nah. The Eco means, that Start-Stop is activated
eco means the engine will turn off when stopped
