- We installed the triple x heat exchanger kit from weapon x motorsports. It is a pretty straight forward install, the mosy time consuming part is removing the front bumper.

@@tylerp3053 worked out great! Took be about 10 hours to install because I was taking my time. Since it was my first time taking the front end apart. But it went very smoothly.
Did you notice an advantage using the kit? How much cooler did your car run after the install? Would you do it again and do you think it was worth changing out the heat exchangers?
We didnt get a before reading without the heat exchangers but according to our tuner he said that it was running way cooler than other zl1s. We would do it again

Did you ever figure out how much the cooling improved on the dyno with and without the heat exchanger? I will be getting mine because I daily it and will be on upper/lower pulley w/ flex fuel kit and tune.
We never got the coolant temp numbers before the heat exchangers went in so we dont have anything to compare to. But the tuner right away said he noticed the difference compared to all other lt4s he had tuned.

No, but we did install if before we got it tuned

how long did it take you to get these switched out?
It was around 3 days, we worked on it about 3 to 4 hours each day. This was our first time working on a new car so we tried taking things slow to remember how to put it back.
Is there any purpose to this for daily driving? Or just for track use?
Just track use. Keeps iat cooler than stock
@OXC Films How did you end up bleeding the cooling system?
We ordered a lt4 supercharger coolant bleeder "tool" which goes on by the throttle body and we jacked up the car from the front a bit and let it run with coolant in a soda bottle placed upside down on the bleeder tool

Yes it did. The tuner said the iat temps were way lower than zl1 he had dont with the stock exchangers
@@OXCFilms I get my weaponX radiator delivered Wednesday and I have a Gen1 cts-v those known to run hot and I dont like it not one bit that's what made me buy it and I feel that's one of the best investments I made so far and thinking also about a getting a racing oil cooler also and you need to drop more video's 👍🏾👍🏾
There is a big difference between the weapon x stuff and the oem that you will remove. What videos would you like for us to do? We will be making a walk around/ review of the camaro soon

We didnt get the temps when we got the baseline numbers at the dyno. But we will try to compare the car with a stock zl1 soon 👍

May i ask what port size did you pick when you ordered it ?
We ordered the oem port style. So that the oem hoses clip right in

How much iat diffrence have you seen now that you've had them a while?
The times we have driven the car even in high 90s weather, the iat drops pretty fast. Never got to test the stock setup to see how fast each one dropped, but with these exchangers it is pretty fast
@@OXCFilms I just cant decide if its worth it or not for me I mean I have a fbo 2017 a10 car it made 738whp with meth it's the stage x ported blower iats drop pretty quick now.
The tuner said that it was a big difference from all the other Z's he had tuned with out the exchangers. And he has dope a pretty good amount of Z's
@@OXCFilms plus I have the 2.5 gallon cordes ice tank behind front bumper to add should be alot of xtra fluid I just cant get ahold of anyone at weapon x to see what size barbs I need theres options on website
O ok yea you do have a lot of fluid. But it never hurts to add a bit more cooling mods in our opinion. Hit brent up on fb or email.
I am installimg these on my 2017 SS do you know what brackets i would get? Do i get oem zl1 brackets?
We arent too sure but we think you will need some zl1 oem brackts for these to mount on since this kit replaces the factory stuff that the ss doesnt have. Maybe you can get them out with custom brackets aswell

Yes it has all 3 so this kit replaces all 3
