This is a little different than my typical evolution videos, but I hope you enjoy. May is my favourite character and it's so clear how much of an impact she had on all our agents, and why her finale was so fitting. She's always talked of herself as the protector, which is true, but I think her greatest role is as a mentor. She is consistently the one to give advice and guidance to everyone on the team, making sure that they are able to protect themselves when she can't be there to protect them.
I loved her powers in season 7, it was such a perfect parallel to how it started with Bahrain. She was traumatized by having to kill a child who could feel others' pain and now she's using her own empath abilities to help her agents overcome their own struggles.
May became the mom quite quickly And well theres 0 doubts Coulson was the dad, You just.... can't fake those dad jokes LMD Coulson: Dadjokes, there a glitch No Coulson... they are a Function, part of your primary directive
I think that Robin’s death was a big factor in how she changed throughout the last seasons. Even though she didn’t actually go through what it was like being her mum but it still hurt her and changed her.
I love how this video highlights how much she changed over the seasons. The way that she was at the end of the series was so different from the beginning, but I feel like she had little hints of her resolution self throughout the whole show. I feel like her being an empath at the end was the sign that she had made peace with everything that happened in Bahrain and was ready to feel more emotions again.
I think I just realized how much I still miss this show.... you did a fantastic job showing May's journey, not just being a mentor to the team, but being a friend :) Melinda May will always be one of my favorites of all time, strong, compassionate, loving, I could honestly keep going :) She came so far and it's beautiful to see, I love her so much!
Okay, I am breathless. May is my favourite character ever and now... I am just near to cry. She had a great develop. She made peace with her past and she learned how to became a mother for every member of the team. She became a mentor to all of them and, at the same time, she grew up. I think that, especially with the last season her character has not been given the attention that deserve. After seven season in which she has done so so much for everyone... maybe even for me and for us. May had the special power to make us think that's "we can't going back, we can only moving forward" despite all. So I thank you for this video, it is amazing and very important to me. Thank you again and with all my heart.
May is my favorite character and i truly believe she had such great character development. i think it's easy to forget that she wanted to be mom before bahrain, but that's also another great part of her character development. She wanted to be a mom before, and after she was terrified of the thought of her as a mom. She truly became like a parent to the other agents and the fact that she embraced it, finally moving past that fear is just *chefs kiss* perfect. And becoming an empath really just locked in her true connection to her emotions. She finally allowed herself to accept what happened in Bahrain, and allowed herself to be happy. I feel like a large part of it was also because of Phil. She told Yo-Yo what the previous year had taught her, and that truly shows regarding her emotions. She was so wary to let anyone in for fear of what could happen, but once she finally did she realized she never wanted to live like that again. ugh i love this video and i love her
I absolutely LOVE how you showed the first scene of May saying "We have two kids on the bus who know nothing about combat and you're adding a third." I mean I am definitely reading too much into it - but growing up with this show I identified Coulson & May as the parents 😭 I miss them so much - this show was home.
I'm crying watching her evolve into a great mentor, and a great mother. She's a complex character that definitely deserves more storyline but I'm glad that we got to watch her start and become more comfortable with herself. Loved your video as always! Keep the great work coming! 💙
omg i love this so much! this video is amazing. i think the next time i rewatch the show, i’m definitely gonna focus on her development the most (i love doing that when i rewatch things)
Thank you! And that's a great idea, May usually has a quieter role in the background so she often gets overlooked, but you can clearly see how much she cares about the team!
I love the video. I was personally hoping to see a bit of the S2 fight between May and Skye. As well as the scene with her and Yoyo from Marvel's Slingshot but even without them it was a great video :).
I always love their interaction between her character and sky Daisy the perfect mom daughter Duo the one thing I didn't like there was an episode and which Chloe's character said oh wow people are prejudice against us Asians when they faces on a billboard and some woman was freaking out looking at them because they was wanted and I think that was the first and only time the subject of discrimination against Asian was brought up and last time.
I Love May So So Much! She's Absolutely Beautiful, Adorable And Badass!! She's Such A Mama Bear Even When She Doesn't Realize It..She Does Absolutely Everything For This Team, Especially Skye..So Far In You Can Definitely Tell Skye's Been Trained By May She's So Much Like Her! Such A Sweet Family! They'd Be Lost Without May! She's Always There To Tell Them What They Need To Hear But In The Most Caring Way! I Think Meeting Skye And The Team, Was Just What She Needed To Try And Heal..They Gave Her A Purpose To Live On, Such A Wonderful Woman! 🥰🥰🥺🥺
She and Skye were the best part of the show. They needed a spinoff just the 2 of them (maybe Bobbi at times too) Just like a new Hawkeye(Kate Bishop) and Black Widow (Yelena) series they are so good together

She is very good character in agents of shield .but I think she is best character in 7 season
I loved her powers in season 7, it was such a perfect parallel to how it started with Bahrain. She was traumatized by having to kill a child who could feel others' pain and now she's using her own empath abilities to help her agents overcome their own struggles.
May is also my favourite character! Love your videos🫶🏻✨✨
I feel like as much as May has rubbed off on the team, they have rubbed off on her. Her character devolopment is the most amazing thing.
I love Melinda May. I'd watch a spin-off of May just teaching students at Coulson Academy. Honestly I could watch AOS for years if they never ended
Me too 😭
I’d watch her train students in fighting
no it's a wonderful thing for her to do to take that kid in under her wings and adopt him that was very kind of her. yasa she now has a teenage son.
Me too
shoot i just realized season 3 is peak mama may
Yep! Hunter, Bobbi, Lincoln, Simmons, Mack, and Daisy were all her ducklings that season :)
May became the mom quite quickly
And well theres 0 doubts Coulson was the dad, You just.... can't fake those dad jokes
LMD Coulson: Dadjokes, there a glitch
No Coulson... they are a Function, part of your primary directive
@@craytherlaygaming2852 technically, philinda's our parents 💅✨
What about season 5 where they go back in time and all that shit
I think that Robin’s death was a big factor in how she changed throughout the last seasons. Even though she didn’t actually go through what it was like being her mum but it still hurt her and changed her.
This is a wonderful reminder of everything May did to support and nurture the people around her

Love this so much. You demonstrate May's growth into mentorship really well. This is why her ending in the show felt so right
Thank you so much!
It's surprising to see Ming Na Wen at such an old age she looks really young
Yeah. However old she gets though she’ll always be the cavalry to me
I'm crying watching her evolve into a great mentor, and a great mother. She's a complex character that definitely deserves more storyline but I'm glad that we got to watch her start and become more comfortable with herself. Loved your video as always! Keep the great work coming! 💙
Great video!!! May is my favourite character, too💞
She’s a mom!
The fact this has no dislikes just proves how much people love may
"I give a damn about your powers; they're not what made you an agent. I did."
my all time favourite quote
omg i love this so much! this video is amazing. i think the next time i rewatch the show, i’m definitely gonna focus on her development the most (i love doing that when i rewatch things)

Basically the mom
Absolutely love this video!! May is my favourite
I really wish I had a Malinda may in my life.
Oooh, this was soo good! I love May already, but getting to see how much of a mentor she was to everyone *chefs kiss*
I love the video. I was personally hoping to see a bit of the S2 fight between May and Skye. As well as the scene with her and Yoyo from Marvel's Slingshot but even without them it was a great video :).
Ooh yeah the S2 fight probably could have been in here. I really liked that scene in Slingshot too!
flawless.
This is absolutely perfect...Thanks for making me cry like this...
Ahem...
The MOM Melinda May
