Cursed sails didn't seem finished tweaking the skeletons disappear in the water at the bottom of their ship, they are able to fire blunder busts faster, they get stuck floating on the stairs to the wheel part of their ship. You don't share reputation with your alliance if you sell stuff. And you don't get reputation for Athena if your allied ship sells the chest of legends instead you only get a 1,000 gold

Guys you really need to get rid of the game intro you've had since launch and replace it with intros like this. 50% of the players I meet have no clue about half the things in this update. You do a great job at making all these videos and forum posts or tweets. But you're putting them all in the wrong place. Put them IN the game.

I agree. Whilst the updated great, it's bonkers that you load the game and it's not obvious what you're meant to do. I had to message someone on TH-cam to actually know where to go to summon the skeleton ships

The campaign is only available for a limited period of time. Why do you think they would add & then remove such little content from such a barebones game? To force you into saying "Now or never". They are milking you. This isn't worth £50, Be patient.

I really like your game, but I hate the time-limited campaigns, I don't have enough time to play, so if you could do permanent campaigns that would be great
if you really consider there 3 part puzzle games a campaign then idk what to tell ya but im not attacking you just think about that though lol
They drip feed then deactivate stuff in order to encourage gamepass subscriptions.
If they left it in then people would just wait til the game was actually finished before playing.
This way, they can keep people coming back and hopefully paying the monthly fee.

absolutally agree with you there. what damage would it do to re add the merick quest? and maybe keep the wanda quest. just add more. and that includes a journal. and the reward should be skill point for either an alliance or skill, plus gold and dabloons.
a quest to unlock a new ship. a quest to unlock aztec gold, each coin worth 1000 gold, but the more you sell the more cursed to get and curses make you weaker in the sun but stronger in the night. but outposts will fight you with new guards and outpost jails.

I was moving when the update came on so I’ve missed a few days of playing. But now that I’m mostly settled and finally unpacked my XBox and game, I’m ready to jump into the fray and send some scurvy-ridden skeletons and their sorry excuses for ships to the bottom of the Sea of Thieves!
Now if only I had been saving my gold since the start of the game.
We shall sink these scoundrels in the name of the Sea of Thieves and for the future of it! Hoist the colors lads! It’s gonna be one hell of a ride.

I hope we can have the ability to invite friends into the server with separate boats at some point. I understand the model but it be the last missing piece for me to have a buddy sailing next to. I know about convincing other players to hand over their boat but it difficult
I'd like this too but then they're be little reason to ever have a server that isn't a majority of your personal friends. Unlikely to ever happen.
It would break the game. A major theme of the game is trusting other crews and breaking their trust. If you really want your friends on other boats you’ll have to buy sloops

You would end up with a servers of only your friends and if someone is unlucky enough to load into it they wouldn't stand a chance. It would break the game. The goal is to make friends and hope you can trust them.
Could do it to where can only have 1 friend boat that way only 2 boats would work together as friends then have alliance on top of that. I understand its to make friends but every single time getting online you have to start over and find people and re learn player style. Just have it to where two friend can have 2 boats sailing together and thats it. Just gets old trying to find new people all the time that work well together. Idk.
Omg looking back at this I had entirely forgot that they made ship customisations half so expensive. Now I know why i had so much trouble getting the first hull i wanted!

The meg in the hungering deep was “The Hungering One” meaning he was stronger than the others
Beef Jerky I know but the rest don't have to be so much weaker. They don't really even have to Nerf the dhips just reduce the numbers that spawn in to maybe between 2and 1for a galleon (occasionally 3) and 1for Brigs and sloops.
brooklyn560 they made it that way so you don't need a ton of people to take it on. They did that so when you randomly find one it won't be incredibly hard to take down

I'm happy with the what the did it in the end. It felt like in cursed sails you HAD to have an alliance to beat the fleet, but now with the skeleton fleet post this update, its really doable with a single crew, so long as you aren't on a sloop
It would be cool if the skeleton ship can't steer while its captain is terminated or off the wheel.
It would also be good if you could drop skeleton ships' anchors and the skeletons would have to manually raise it again.
As of right now, there's no real way to sap a skeleton crew's mobility.
Also they turn way too fast (I have literally seen skelly ships just wiggle away)

Please make the brigantine actually look like a brigantine. There are supposed to be 2 sail segments on the front mast and having only one makes it very hard to look at without feeling sick...
The most fun I've had in the game to date and that's not a low bar. The seas are definitely becoming more dangerous for a solo sloop.
the solo sloop will be non existant in near future if not already, im actually having a hard time finding a crew for the sloop now, i keep getting stuck solo while using it. so def slowly being useless.

this update is crazy and everything sea of thieves needs! i fought a galleon, megaladon, and a skeleton ship all at once!
Why would the story thing be a time-limited thing?
It's just a little side content to add a little more story to the update. You can complete it in about 20 minutes if you know where everything is. You don't even have to fight anything, it's just finding the items.

Right now having watched a lot of vids on it. There isn't enough to do for me to get it yet. Looks incredible though. But still hoping for a lot more considering there is absolutely no progression to look forward to. As in, levelling up my pirate, getting new abilities, buying lots of new gear, equipment, swords and guns e.t.c. Having a stash of all my items e.t.c. It just seems a bit barren for me.
Took on my first skeleton ship last night with the best crew of randoms I've ever played with. Damn that was fun! S/o to Looking for Group on Xbox.

It would be neat if there were ropes that players could obtain and use on enemy players to tie them up and prevent them from using items until they broke free or until one of their crew mates did.
The Skeleton crews are way overpowered and unbalanced. They turn on a dime, are faster than you, have deadshot aim, hit you with multiple cursed balls at the same time, have crews who instantly patch holes who overpower you with blunderbusses when you board, who DONT die when a gunpower barrel explodes right next to them in the ship, and have a sniper who can hit a you on your ship bouncing in the waves. Then add the barrels in the water that sink instantly when you get to them and the fact that you get spawned halfway across the map when you die. Oh and dont forget how we get stuck in empty servers where theres no one to alliance up with. This was supposed to be fun. Its frustrating and i hate it...

Damon_kun - I agree, constantly checking the watch and finding things to do for a few days gets a little frustrating. We end up just sword fighting and pistol dueling with the alliance crews.
The other events were easy. Minus the fort co-op. But this one...is going to be hard to accomplish by the 7th
This is a really really really good update video, it does a beautiful job explaining all of the new content while not sounding too much like an advertisement. It's an A+ from me, Simon Cowell.
sorry about this, but there should be a better way to be in alliance. i have met soo many other players and NONE of them where nice, evreyone at the last moment killing each and right before selling the loot they leave the alliance just because there is a 50% split in it. if evreyone would have 100% split with a max of 3 ships it would be way better and player friendly. the extreme hardcore pc players get evreything while newcommers don't stand a chance in the game.
I don't understand why people do that because the people that turn in the loot get 100% of the gold and rep and the other crews get half of each
They need to make it so that you cant kill alliance members.

mrsimpson1201 last night my friend managed to form an alliance with a galleon and another sloop, they defeated Skelton ships AND the megaladon, then once I joined we all turned in the loot together by splitting it evenly. It’s rare to find but when you do it’s amazing.
FatalEagle your right i played this game so many times and i only ever met ppl like that only once. My friends uninstalled the game allready becouse pirate ledgends are so bored they are just seeing the challenge in griefing. And yes i understand it is frustrating that you play over 2 hours just to see a other ship coming in and defeating you when your out of supplies and taking your loot.

Yeah its great for normal voyages by yourself. Lot quicker than a sloop. Tricky to bail and plug by yourself if someone opens most of the holes on one side though

While doing the side quest, I realized that I went hours without the desire to grind voyages for gold. I had way more interest in finding out what the hell happened to Wanda and what she did! I also insta-bought all the Hunter cosmetics. :P THANKS RARE!
The fact they have to use the word Content Update in a title says it all this game should of launched next year thats when I plan on giving it a second chance not before then.

My one complain is how long it takes to kill Skellies ships

The game is a live service and people are dense as rocks so they need to be reminded 5 times per sentence that a thing is free or they clutch their wallets as if they're being shaken down by a bully.
They've stated multiple times all major content updates are free, the only exception is the pets which you must buy one for your pirate
I know they've definitely said how much they know the free model will be more benefitial for the game
but if it happens think of it like Splatoon where you get probably a year or two of free content
and after that there's a 20 dollar expansion that's a lot more substantial.
Loving the game massively, and have a bit of feedback about the Cursed Sails; The _only_ thing I think needs a tweak, is the sails on the Brigantine. What I mean is, make the front mast Abit taller, and add a small topsail to it. It looks bit odd the way it is now. The foremast shouldn't be much smaller than the mainmast, and should have a topsail.

The week long events are too short!? Why did you say “we hear that a week is too short “ only to do two week events for two weeks and switch back to one week things. This time limited stuff is kind of BS to be honest. Just salty that I have to miss a weeks worth of content and that it’s such a waste to put in resources that are only used for a week....
The event is 3 weeks long buddy. If you can't find time to do the most accessible part of the campaign in that time you'd never have time enough. And life is about priorities. If you want to be a completionist in a game like this, get up early, play longer after work...it's not up to them it's up to you.

they should add a passive island or hub in the map ( Non PVP ) to meet up with different players and also make alliances. It could be like a mini Tortuga from POTC, i feel this would a great addition to the game. They could also add mini games and stuff on the island as well to get more player interaction.

Bring out a 6 man ship and you should let people hire ai crew members to shoot the cannons on the top deck and belowdeck cannons of all ships, this would let people who play the game a lot, have something to look forward to and maybe you could have a second ship and let your friend could captain and therefore making the game more fun and make battles more exciting as there would be more cannons on the brig galleon and 6 man ship. You would have to pay the ai crew on every voyage but if you don’t bring ai crew then you might run the risk of getting into a battle with people that have got ai crew. Also you should let people have their own island where they can trade with other pirates and make extra money for the captain and with make players play for longer and have more targets to go for. I hope you take these ideas into consideration.

Not all the items need to be locked behind a pay wall, a premium currency for premium item would work just as fine.
A paid list of challenges that earns the player gold is also a good idea for example.
Problem with the game is that it's a overpriced early access disguised as a full release, which it is not.

I assume you're referring to the Xbox game pass being 10 dollars a month, which if you look at when Sea of Thieves came out in March, you've basically already paid full price for the game and even more if you continue the subscription.

Well, its not really exciting, almost no new features, overall an overhyped update.
killzone 1401 There is a new ship type plus skeleton ship enemies and alliances lol. What more do you want?
Elusive Bird alliance is alright, skeleton ships is meh, new ship is nothing special, there is not much new here.
Respect your opinion but I personally had some of the most fun with the skeleton ships so far.
Even the megalodon has a good purpose now and the alliances just fit into that perfectly.
Had tons of fun with other crews who teamed up with us and just started having dumb fun at an outpost.
killzone 1401 just want to add that after the event players will be able to use cursed cannonballs. Plenty of new stuff which we will keep getting new stuff pretty frequently. If you don't like this game then stay away from it, don't comment negativity just cuz its not ur cup of tea.
Its only been a month!
My enthusiasm somewhat died from being Australian and the price tag here causing none of my friends to buy it, I would love to play this amazing game with a consistent group of friends! Haven't touched it in months after playing religiously after it first came out!

i haven't played since the updates, but when it was released, and for a fair while after, you cannot deny that it was an incredible bare game.

Crimson Hunter It kind of is, I play it daily and I barely see anyone out in the water. PVP is low and most of the time, you can do a fort without anyone coming at you. But the game is still fun no doubt about it.
Awesome, altough you need to fix alliances! Cap it to 2 or 3 ships... Alliances of 5 ships simply take over the server and can do whatever they want.

These skeleton ships have saved my life so many times when I’m being chased while loaded with loot by ramming the people chasing me

The update is amazing! I just have one complaint, might be a bug but I don't know!
Yesterday my crew and I defeated the Skeleton ships in the Wilds a total of 3 times. First two times we looked around for the loot for more than 10 minutes, and it wouldn't spawn. Meanwhile Meg ate our ship and the next battle already started. The third time the loot wouldn't spawn either.. We went offline a little grumpy but my brother stayed with the alliance. After about 20 minutes the loot came up, and while they tried to get it on the ships, half of it despawned! I don't know what caused this, but it only happened in The Wilds for us. I also feel like the next battle triggers too quickly right now.
Other than this, the entire update is amazing and I'm having so much fun playing!!
Rare needs to add ships controlled by AI that carry goods that you need for merchant quests so you don't have to spend all day searching for an island that has a rare type of chicken. They also need whaling.

You guys should make a system like fleets or you can ally with others like a guild or something and being able to conqueror a plot of land for the guild and the guild can have multiple ships like a fleet pretty much
