If it's in the same state in which you are doing business and already have a GST number then you don't need to register again but you need to do APOB process in GST registration.

You can convert to FBA to FBM or FBM to FBA anytime.....pls note that your FBA listings will be live only after your goods reached Amazon wharehouse.
