So relatable, my experience exactly. I deliver for Uber, JE and Roo and have been doing it since March 2019. Money is unpredictable bur I wouldn't swap it for a job that pays double. I enjoy very much not having a routine or an alarm clock, no need to ask a boss if you need to go on holiday 😀 👍 Freedoooooommmmm! Also tbh if you put in the hours and do the busy shifts money is actually pretty good 👍 👌

£150 a month so £1800 a year but I believe its possible to pay annually and you could save maybe £150-£250. Let's say £1600 a year works average £133 a month. I will quote admiral in April as I am planning to get one. Nice video by the way :)

Hi. You tell them how many miles your yearly miles will be like you would with any insurance (I said 14,000 to be safe). You can do any miles you need to do!😁

I've gone through more than 4,000 miles in one month maybe 5 weeks. So that equates to about 48,000 miles a year plus.

Just to cover my personal experience. I work part time in my main job and do deliveroo my Uber to make it up so I work full time. Even though I do this part time I was better off going for admiral. For me personally (I am unfortunately older than you Atlanta haha) was £97.74 and that’s for fully comp hire and reward and social, domestic, pleasure and commuting which I thought was quite good!

I’m new to the channel. I drive for Uber and J/E part time. Is it okay to leave the delivery bag in the car like you do or is it better to bring it to the door?
Hi, welcome! I think it’s better to bring it to the door although it depends on the circumstance such as if the door is near to the car, it’s easy to take it out, although if in a flat or raining, it’s better to bring the bag to the door. Hope that makes sense.
@@AtlantaDelivers Perfect advice, thankyou. So far I’m on 1500 deliveries total but I had this customer a few months back who started shouting at me for not having a hot bag even though he could see it in the car. I showed him and he stopped shouting but now I find it easier to just bring the bag 👍

Very informative video. Just a quick question as a new rider, how and where we can upload the insurance certificate upon renewal?
The delivery company should send you an email to upload a new document or you can login online to the driver dashboard and upload it.

I'm toying with the idea right now and your video is very helpful. Insurance seems very steep to me can I ask at the time of the video how long you'd been driving? Also do you have to do your own tax returns and all that jazz or is it simply take away what you earn?

Hey love, I'm confused. You said you use the Admiral hourly rate for your food delivery insurance or you switched to that but then said ZEGO is the best option for part time delivery drivers? Please shed some light on this, I could use the correct heads up on this, great video dropped a like too.

Hey, so if you’re only doing a few hours a week, then paying hourly on Zego would probably work out cheaper than having a monthly set price.

Can you deliver for all the company’s anywhere in the UK? As when applying it asks for your location area?? Do you need to change it every time your in an area?

Hi, I believe it’s still a trial at the moment only in some areas and only on some orders.
As a driver, some orders will say there is a pin required which will be on the customers order when you track the driver. When getting to the door, I will ask for the pin and I enter it to confirm the order has been dropped off. It seems to be for the orders which are large or customers who have said they’re missing their order a lot. This way, it shows the order has been dropped off as it cannot be made up.
So glad I watched this through the I was covered with Zego but my insurance company said NO. Thankfully I checked before I went out today. Now with admiral from tomorrow 😀

Atlanta Delivers which car model are you using for dilvery? and how much it cost? its seems honda civic or honda jazz or honda fit?
I’ve used a jazz and civic before but now in a Mini Cooper 👍
It is hard to work out how much really spending on doing it.
Buy the time you take in to account. Insurance and car fuel and repair costs. for really what you have to earn just to pay all the costs before you get any money for yourself.
It may be good when you have orders constant. but if you have to wait 20 minutes for McD to get the order ready. I know this as when i was in a collector was complaining about his wait.

Im from northern ireland i use zergo its hit and miss ido just eat the money is good 90% of them over £10 6hours i did last night first hour was quite but still made £130

Hello, I have 1 doubt hope you can clarify. I hold one car insurance but they are not giving me Food delivery insurance, they said I have to cancel their insurance if I am doing food delivery. So I was thinking buying food Delivery Insurance from Zego (pay as you go) and use general insurance current one without notifying them. Is it illegal to do that?

Hire and reward is not the right cover through admiral I'm afraid to tell you if you go in the t and c it clearly states you need to select carriage of goods insurance for delivery of food.
I had the right insurance. You just say hire and reward for food deliveries when speaking with them.

Curious if you can help, I have been doing deliverys now since November so need to pay tax next january, does the 45p milage cover everything, like mobile phone bill and hourly zego insurance cant find the answer anywhere. Thanks love your vids
Hi, I have an accountant, definitely worth doing. The mileage is separate, 0.45p per mile up to 10,000 miles then it drops to 25p after that. You can claim a % of your phone bill (something around 30% I believe). You can also take off your insurance cost as an expense I believe.

Ok in my city a lot of the takeaways are in town and I wonder if I start doing deliveries how would I get in cause you cant drive there unless your driving a taxi or bus but i seen some drivers picking up orders there so idk
Some places you may not be able to do as a car driver and have to decline or try and find where other car drivers are parking.
Been doing uber amazon flex deliveroo iust eat since 2017 tip for you dont run all at once they will ban you

Richard Gardner, it’s interesting to learn that drivers may face being banned for multi apping. Is it against the Terms & Conditions? How would the companies know? I’m a commercial traveler, but not far off retirement, so I’m researching part time flexible alternatives.
@@commuterbranchline8132 it is against the t&c’s to multiapp. I turn the apps on, then once I have an order, turn the other apps off😁

I have an interest in doing delivery. However, some courier insurers keep turning me down. This because, I have a full license which is less than a year old. Can anyone advice or make some recommendations as to what to do to get sign up to a hire and reward insurance?

I work between 3 takeaways not on just eat or any apps. Im paid by companies will i get more money doing full time on the apps. Im working 7 days per week pocketing about 600 a week

I work from home 10hr days, 4days a week. I'm thinking about doing a Friday night after work until early bells and then doing a Saturday night late bells, meaning I still get Sunday and a day off during the week....
If I do a Friday night and then Saturday night as well, do you think it's possible to make £100 on each night, after all expenses and tax? That would be an extra £800/month for me. I have a car and am in Liverpool, thanks.
How many hours would you work? You should be able to do £15-£20 an hour before expenses and tax.

Hello, I'm very late to the party, but I have just signed on for uber as I want to deliver part time! Do I have to register as self employed with the Government, and then start declaring taxes each year? I'm really confused by it all which puts me off, but I really want to get into this and earn extra money! Plus Uber website states 'Unlike rides with Uber, drivers who earn with Uber Eats are only obligated to register, collect and remit sales tax from the moment they reach $30,000 of revenue over the past 4 quarters' which also confuses me, any help is greatly appreciated!

What do you do when it’s hard to park or there are al parking wardens?
I decline the orders that I know I can’t park; sometimes I give it a go and either risk it with getting a ticket or turn up, realise I can’t park as there’s traffic wardens for example and have to cancel the order.
In busy areas where I can park, I sometimes I have to drive around a couple of times until I can find a space or park slightly further away.😊

PS: I delivered for UE quite a long time ago, but I did come across Deliveroo orders asking for PIN, what I've noticed is either because they're really large, valueable orders / alcohol orders / problematic customers who had an issue getting their food delivered (or claimed not to receive).
It was becoming ridiculous so had to find an alternative insurance company😊

You need hire and reward insurance for delivering. Call up Admiral and get it added on to your current policy.

I thought 'business' insurance was a total scam but apparently the considerably higher mileage covered and driving in PM hours mean making a claim is more likely.
It's a scam. You do the insurance for the car not for what you do with your car.They found a way to earn more money from the workers. Your claim about pm hours and for the higher mileage covered doesn't make any sense. Higher covered mileage for one delivery driver as you said = at least one less customer car on the roads at the same time. For PM hours I would not give you any answer cuz is totally a joke and doesn't make any sense
