This scene actually made me cry. Denzel has my upmost respect as an actor and as a person. My God bless him every single day of his life. This is what, exactly what America needs in every corner.. this representation and attitude with our youth. Until we don’t understand this we won’t prevail. And I don’t care about those who say America is the greatest country in the world. Because the truth is that today? Is far from that.
I get the impression he was trained and conditioned to be a weapon, his lack of fear in scary situations is clear and it makes him that much more dangerous, he uses the right tactics for the right situation and doesn't overdo it, very tactical and I love it!!!....
McCall is, if I recall (no pun intended here), a retired DIA agent, right? (Or unnamed agencies in original TV series, or CIA in new TV series.) Makes sense if he's just unfazed with such conditions. He's purposedly built for it.
Notice how Mccall is standing in the light when asking Miles to come with him. Emphasizing leaving the dark and going to the light. These was an Oscar worthy scene.
One of the reasons I love Denzel and his movies so much is that he actually teaches and instructs in them; he’s a teacher on the big screen fr👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🗣🧠
Notice how the gangsters saw how he wasn't scared and immediately felt respect for him when he took the kid out of the room with him not even chasing after them. REAL MAN SHIT and an emotionally surreal scene. Washington is one of the top 20 greatest actors that's ever lived. Amazing in anything he's in
"What do you see when you look at me?" It's the same thing he said to Nikolai in the first movie. Even more powerful in this situation though, it's as though he's asking Miles, "Do you see what I am? Do you want to be like me ? (for good *OR* bad) And telling him he has no idea what death is. Young people have such a hard time realizing that it's forever. All the chances lost. Forever. Love this scene so much.
Idk if it was intentional or not but since Denzel’s character is knowledgeable when it comes to weapons he had no problem having miles put that 1911 to his head because he knows that’s a single action firearm, that gun isn’t firing unless the hammer is thumbed back. Love the small details that make his character interesting and believable.
@@SilverKnightPCs 1911’s only come in single action designs unless otherwise specified like the colt double eagle which can be fired in double action but it turned out to be a highly unpopular gun that ppl forgot about and is no longer in production. Denzel is a great actor. I love the scene. Great acting, great dialogue. No empty lectures. It’s just Let’s do it together. I wish they’d left & then talked. Its too much artistic license to have a heart to heart & not expect the thugs to never appear. Reminds me of Steven seagal movie where everyone magically runs out of billets at the same so he can do his martial arts spiel.
Denzel has been a role model figure my entire life. In every movie, I learned something different about myself. My life and my family. Denzel taught me to be a father figure that was also an action figure and much more. Raising young men and women has been a passion of mine since my firstborn. Now I have more than a dozen 🙏🏿 It's just too bad I was the victim of an assault that ended up giving me my first-born child at a young, young age that completely traumatized me. Everyone has a story to be told. Denzel just happened to be a storyteller that's capable of taking his life, emotions, and experiences and putting them on film. A true artist. If anyone asked if there was a book written based on life. Denzel would be that man. I wish I could get that brother to help me write, direct and tell my documentary. #Ourpolyfam

Crime has always been a poverty and wealth inequality issue. Solving those issues or at least managing them better, brings forth positive influences, within improving poverty-stricken communities.

👏👏👏👏
We just witnessed a gripping scene with one of the best actors alive(Denzel Washington) let’s appreciate him while he’s alive!
So true!!!
You can feel the power in those words, 'You don't know what death is' Always got me tearing up for some reason
"I lied to your lil punk ass"
Gat dayum
thrilling moment
@@conephompany indeed. It gives me the chills
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT DEATH IS! …I felt that shit😁
'Man' ain't spelled G-U-N.
One of the greatest lines ever.
That young man is a great actor. The fact that he maintained the scene with someone as great as Denzel is no small accomplishment. Powerful scene.
You need to see the 1st Denzel Equilizer movie …..
He was the leader of an unnamed never spoken about death team for all intents and purposes he is death
@@DrWatson4 Personification of death I like it, like Mr.Wick and Aatami from Sisu!!!..
@@dmxdxl Pretty much
Man aint spelled gun son. That hits home.
Up the Boro!
@@richardhorrocks1460 You know it.
That's a Powerful Scene! Denzel Washington is an absolute legend! The Equalizer series it's not just about action, it's about standing up for people!
This is why he's one of my most favorite actors. That was just a powerful scene.
3:21 that subtle use of force to demand more action just gets me, brilliant scene
The “yo who the fuck was that” makes this scene a personal top 5 Denzel scene for me
What a powerful scene. Great acting by both of them. Denzel is a legend.
"I'm your father, your mother didn't just tell you" 🤣🤣
This is why Denzel is one of the best actors of all time. He provokes a reaction out of you that few others can, and makes you think too.
Denzel Washington has become a routine that I must follow. I swear I have benefited from his clips in my daily life
Especially Fences, a movie that carries a legendary message
Notice how the gangsters saw how he wasn't scared and immediately felt respect for him when he took the kid out of the room with him not even chasing after them. REAL MAN SHIT and an emotionally surreal scene. Washington is one of the top 20 greatest actors that's ever lived. Amazing in anything he's in
Yeah, the way one of them says "Who the fuck was that?" makes it clear they ain't gonna follow him to found out lol.
Apparently those guys know what death is when they see it !!!
When Denzel actually get eye to eye and tells the kid he has “no idea what death is”has to be one most impactful scenes ever.
"What do you see when you look at me?"
It's the same thing he said to Nikolai in the first movie.
I didn't know, cool detail.
He knew Miles didn't know anything about that
@@SilverKnightPCs😂
@@SilverKnightPCs 1911’s only come in single action designs unless otherwise specified like the colt double eagle which can be fired in double action but it turned out to be a highly unpopular gun that ppl forgot about and is no longer in production. A true 1911 no matter the brand or the chambering can only be fired with the hammer thumbed back. That’s why 1911’s are carried cocked and locked
@@SilverKnightPCs 1911s are single action which means the firearm will in fact not fire if the hammer is in the forward position.
“ I’m your father, your mama just didn’t tell you” 🥶
"I'm your father, yo mama jus didn't tell you"😂 😂 😂 😂
You could post this clip 100 times and I would still watch it again. Such a perfect scene and both Denzel and all other actors on the set have done an incredible job !
The world is a better place with Denzel in it...we need more like him. No apologies. What you get is by the sweat of your brow.
Nobody can touch Denzel Washington and John Wick
The "You got not idea what death is" is packed with resentment as well. Great acting.
MAN ain't spelled G-U-N . That line is the truth.
Denzel fighting youth illiteracy one word at a time.
Millions of Americans with gun fetishes would disagree with you
Man I love these movies. I can't tell if Denzel is that great of an actor or if this is just his real personality but it comes off as so genuine.
That's DENZEL one of the best of our time.
The best example of a father figure's course correction that I've seen in a movie so far
Denzel is one hell of an actor. ONE of the best of all time.
Denzel is amazing here, but so is the kid. His vulnerability is so real and visceral. He's a great in the making
That “You have no idea what death is” is peak acting
Goosebumps...what an incredible actor Denzel is
Can you imagine being Asthon Sanders and getting an absolute MASTERCLASS in acting that up close and personal? Chills...
Im ya Father, your mom just didnt tell you. lol
Denzel Washinton is an absolute complete package as an actor. Once he takes on a character and totally commits himself to it. He will have you completely all in and hanging on every line. He is one of the best actors to ever live period. I'm convinced he could play any role.
Yeah exactly, they are talking at the building's lobby when actually all those thugs would have come down after them.
The thugs are not stupid. They'd realise that he's out of their league. It's just better to let it slide and save a life or two or five.
That "Man ain't spelled g-u-n, son." was cold and fire.
The patented Denzel throat-punch to right hook combination
0:09 the ol' left throat jab + control weapon + control opponent's left + right hook combo
I don't feel like Denzel was acting, felt like he was speaking directly to younger generations of men, he meant what he said, golden acting!
#Ourpolyfam
The acting.. unreal how realistic it is. Denzil Washington you are a legend!
"you have no idea what death is" - that hit hard
Respect to whoever wrote in script Little Yum Yum. For those that don’t know google it. He was from Chicago. If you think your bout that life let me tell you something only the strong survive and die it’s cold way of life. I’m just a 51 yr old Chicano from Sur Califas the picture you see is when I was young and innocent that’s who is in my heart today. By the grace of god and familia Im here to say “ There’s no future in it Homie” God Bless 🙏🏼✌🏼
Wish they showed how he went from two handguns to an Uzi to a handgun...
The third guy, he knocked out and threw in the elevator had the Uzi lying on the table. McCall passed by there
Wow what a powerful scene.. Especially the ending. Denzel puts so much emotion into this. It really kicks in watching it. The words and how they coming out of his mouth... Brilliant
The fact that he didn't pull the trigger means he isn't too far gone.
i look back at all my homeboys that was gangstas and if they had maybe one father figure in their life maybe they might be alive today
That and if America had a better grip on poverty management via social safety nets, like other comparable 1st world nations. Young people in poverty aren't gonna have many positive influences, let alone positive father figures, negative father figures can lead them to crime too. Crime has always been a poverty and wealth inequality issue. Solving those issues or at least managing them better, brings forth positive influences, within improving poverty-stricken communities.
When i saw All day and a night...i knew..this young actor is gonna be someone the caliber of Washington....
Great performance from Asthon Sanders - particularly that last shot
i never can could watch this scene without crying my father passed when i was 10 years old .,.,,.they way he tells him you dont know what death is its just amazing absolute breathtaking
An Oscar worthy scene right there!
"I lied to your Lil' punk ass" 😂🤣🤣 ...that was cold af!
I can always respect a man who believes in self accountability rather than blaming everything else.
This is what the young men need today...ALL of them...a man who will step up and help guide them to do what is good and right morally and ethically. Teach them to be real men who step up and handle their responsibilities. ❤
Denzel hasn't made enough movies. I can watch his performance all day.
2 Guns was terrible though.. lol
@@edwardmowton9825 I remember I enjoyed the movie. Just the Denzel bits of it lol
It’s quality not quantity
Compare this scene to the scene in Malcolm X where Denzel is playing Malcolm X when he was a gangster and another member of his crew challenges his authority so he (Denzel/Malcolm) starts a game of Russian roulette to see who is in charge. It's the exact same level of intensity and a very similar situation. Denzel has acted so many versions of this scene played out in so many different ways, and he inhabits it and seems to draw out something new every single time and the energy he brings is always chilling.
Damn, that hit hard. That's a hard place to be. Props to those who make it. Sorrow for all that don't. Nothing comes easy to some. The fight for "that chance" for him and why not him. Sad but true.
Denzel is always awesome! But this two movies is one of the best of his works! IMHO of course
What a powerful scene! Mr. Washington deserves awards for his realistic acting.
My God 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 DENZELLLLLL is in a league of his OWN
geez, denzel plays the character so calm and never letting his emotions control him but when he says ''you dont know what death is'' you can see the pain and emotions leaking out through his expression and eyes. S++
One of Denzel’s most powerful scenes of his career in my opinion.
I’m your father ya mama just didn’t tell you - that had me dying 🤣🤣
"Man ain't spelled G.U.N., son. You got a choice. You got talent. You got a chance. And I won't hear about your environment, what your momma didn't give you and the white man won't get you no shot -- you got a chance. USE IT WHILE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE. You don't know what death is! You have no idea what death is! Make a decision."
... I really needed that today, I didn't realize. Thank you to whoever wrote this line (and typing it down really doesn't give it justice --- Denzel's delivery really nailed it home. Thank you, sir)
I like how the "gangsters" just chilled after MC left them. No one bothered to come down for the next 5 minutes!!
'I'm Your father Your mother just didn't tell you'.. has to be the coldest movie lines ever!!
One of my all time favorite scenes.
No excuses, man up and do the right thing and it will be worth it.
"5 pounds of pressure that's all it takes"
"Man ain't spelled G-U-N son..."
"You have no idea what death is"
So many amazing quotes in just ONE Scene
Denzel Washington fantastic actor and fantastic role model 👍🏿❤️💯
its how fast he responded to "why me" that gets me... "why not you"
