I have the 50mm (which gives me nice photos on my 80D) and just bought the 35mm. I’ll have it in about a week and can’t wait to try it. Your video was quite helpful, thanks!
I love this exact combination for video and everyday shooting, and this will give you some very sharp pictures. However, I always keep my 24-105 f4 in my camera bag just to have the versatility of a zoom lens. So yes, I would recommend the Canon 35mm f2 IS USM with the Viltrox speedbooster on the Canon M50.
does the sharpness of the yongnuo lens not matter as much when the camera resolution is lower? my camera is only 8MP and i only shoot stills, but the centre softness at f/2 is whats holding me back from buying.
Thanks for video. Was hoping to see some photos using the YN35mm lens. And thanks for being a Youth Pastor. Hopefully their learning Sound Biblical Doctrine.
1D mark iii?!!! Old School! I think I can beat you at camera fossils ... I still use my original 5D occasionally 👴🏼. It’s such a hassle but you deal, while everyone is automatically loading their photos to their phone as they’re shooting.
I use my 1d miii for a photo booth along with a high speed photo printer at my church, and the 1d does the job just as good as any of my newer cameras. However, my dad has us both beat, he still uses his Canon A1 film camera.
I also use my 5D classioc from 2005. I have upgraded mine and i have wifi with the ezshare wifi adapter. I shoot and in 2 sec the jpeg file is in my phone. Pretty handy to check for focus accuracy cause the camera's screen has so little resolution to see whats in focus
He did not specify what body he used with the charts. Maybe he used a cropped sensor and that would explain the sharpness difference between your results vs hims. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱 🙋♂️
My mistake. In the description box he said he used a canon 5ds camera with a whoopping 50 Mp sensor so that's why your results are different. You use a lower resolution body which is not as demanding. Greetings!
@@federicodagostino6437 Personally, I would, as long as you are not using it on a high megapixel camera. A lens like this is not super sharp, but if you are looking to do some photography where it is possible to damage or lose the lens... it is a must (I use it for steel wool photography). This lens is cheaper than some of my UV filters.

I have a Yongnuo 35mm F2 af lens for Nikon with the Nikon HB-47 lens hood. It looks cool and works great.
Mine is the newer version.
Yeah, I hear good things about the new things that Yongnuo are putting out.
Hi, would you recommend a camera setup that consists of the Canon M50, viltrox Speedbooster and the Canon 35mm f2 IS? Thank you

great breakdown.
Thanks
Thnk for info
How did you do the intro when the cameras are popping
overlay the different photos
Well explained thanks
I film in manual focus. Takes some practice. But it’s doable.
In short: it is not a cheap lens. You get what you pay for.

I wonder if you have a bad copy. I have the Canon copy but I use it on my Sony A7ii with an adapter, and I find that it's very sharp.

Why would you buy it if a kit lens performs better? I could use my 18-55 at f4 :)
I just dont want to use any of my good lenses with the kids at my church. I needed this lens because it fits a very specific need that I have.
Got it. My friend want to sell it to me for just 50€ but I don’t know if to but it. Suggestions? Would you take it? 😁

Try your kit lens at night vs the Yongnuo and you'll know which performs better.
@@TomXCZD I would take a speedlite and still prefer the kit lens, no doubt. This Yongnuo lens does not represent savings, it means tearing up money.
This is boring, like Thanksgiving dinner with the family.
You need a game to spice this up!
