“Everybody has had one and one is enough for anybody.” Perfect advice for the coronavirus pandemic.
I like how when Mr Wonka asked who wants an everlasting gobstopper the parents said yes at first but Mr Wonka only gave them to the children 😂
Even though verruca crosses her fingers behind her back I wouldn't be surprised if mr. Wonka knew about it because if you remember correctly later on mr. Wonka was in another room of the factory when Charlie and Grandpa Joe drank the fizzy lifting drinks and he found out about that so I think he would know about what Veruca is doing in this scene too.
Its finny how easy it is to hear the post production audio from the 47 second mark with him speaking about the machine, it was much harder to notice on tv back in the day.
Veruca’s dad is funny with the way he talks, the way he says things, & the facial expressions he gives.
RIP Willy Wonka
Wonder if Mike somehow knew it was a test the same way as he knew where a ticket was.
It's just the sudden randomness of Wonka here that gets me every time 😂🤣
1:27 Denise Nickerson says her line with a British accent because she spent so much time around Julie Dawn Cole that Julie's accent rubbed off on her. Now you've learned something.
I LOVED his charm, his eyes & that frikken purple jacket! - He was my very 1st "celebrity crush" :-D #RIPWILLYWONKA
The amount of that's what she said comments on here makes me question what you guys lives are about.
+Flowerperson Minianer Thus is the nature of the human being. Our minds are always in the gutter, because our brains are periphery organs of our genitals.
+Harry Krinkle Of our stomachs, actually.
That's the nature of adolescent males. They're stupid because the opposite end of their body is the part that's doing all the thinking. And despite the word "adolescent" referring to teenagers, these boys in fact don't grow out of the phase until much later in adult life.
UMMMM propagating the human race since it doesn't seem to be a priority to the other half.....
I always loved the twist with slugworth for Wonka to know if he can trust one of the kids. It's production like these that makes movies gold, they relate to real life situations. So it's not just images and idolism, it's a lesson. God wants us to think. When we begin thinking Satan tries to over-run us, and then deceives us. Anyhow, the point is, this movie contains a life lesson.
I don't see much movies like THIS (no special effx kind of) real life people and life lesson + fun? this is gold.
Is it just me, or does the word "Twit" show up all the time in Roald Dahl stuff?
And "Twat" at least once. th-cam.com/video/b9mba2qb9do/w-d-xo.html
@@s.sestric9929 I think Veruca said "twerps".
@@moviemaniac9034 Hear what you want. Half of America does just that.
Well he wrote a book called "The Twits"
@@DarthVader-il2cy I think that inspired the "Your mommy... is a twit!" line from "Matilda".
Love how he mouths everlasting gobstoppers along with Violet lmao
1:11
Does this seem a little wrong to you?
Thomas Jannsen sure..........IF U HAVE A DIRTY MIND YA NASTY
1:40
Thomas Jannsen hell yea it does!
@@alexj.5207 This movie should be a combination horror movie (the tunnel scene) and porno flick. (the quote from this scene, the "snozzberry: scene, and the Wonkamobile scene, since people have made some bad comments about that)
Yeah, I have a very dirty mind xD
2:17 When you learn that someone you know is about to order 1,000 copies of Zootopia DVD's from Amazon
Red Card wwwwww
Red Card
1 is enough for everybody, leave some for other people.
that was oddly specific
I love Zootopia
"Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker." I love this guy XD
Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker. Well put, Mr. Wonka. Just hope they don't have alcoholic candy one day.
I always thought that Wonka “forgot” about giving a Gobbstopper to Charlie because he knew he was going to win, so he didn’t think he’d want one to give to Slugworth.
Wonka: *Puts shoes in the hot pot*
Mr. Salt: What's that for?
Wonka: Gives it a little kick.
Did any of you noticed that when Wonka asked who wanted an everlasting gobstopper the adults also wanted them but He just gave them to the children 🙂
Yessss! Why tho?
@@katekurosky2042 the "Slugworth" guy offered to the kids only to give him the candy. Wonka knew the adults would immediately sell out but he needed to test the kids. The adults would sell it to real competitors besides Wonka's Slugworth agent since the kids most likely wouldn't know how to do bidding for real competitors.
When Wonka had to be reminded to give one to Charlie, I think that was because Wonka was already aware that the other children were going to turn him in to "Slug worth" and that Charlie's actions and behavior had probably convinced that he knew Charlie was of kind and genuine heart.
I wonder how many of the model gobstoppers still exist somewhere...
Jonas Clark Only one is known to exist.
George Boulos Porn stars? I hope your joking.
Blacknozed Pawn stars
I own one. I'm still chewing it to this day.
I know there is “Everlasting Gobstoppers” which wouldn’t actually last forever. So they are really just gobstopper.
My boyfriend has an everlasting gobstopper and I'm loving it.
Violet: "What's the matter? Too hot, Mr. Wonka?"
Wonka: "Cold! Far too cold!"
Marty: "What?! What? Is it hot?"
Doc: "It's cold! Damn cold!"
Coincidence, I think NOT!!!!
FINALLY someone who gets the same reference
Also in War of the Worlds when he touches the rocks after the lightning storm
"I'm a trifle deaf in this ear. Speak a little louder next time." I always crack up at that. hahaha
1:46 my favorite line in the movie.
‘That’s exploding candy for your enemies! Still weak though, needs a little more gelignite.’
This man really is a Psychopath...
"Everybody has had one, and one is enough for anybody!"
Love that quote! Best quote in the movie.
It never occurred to me that Wonka initially doesn't give Charlie a Gobstopper. Given what we know about Wonka's test, it makes me wonder if he almost has second thoughts about putting Charlie through it.
"That's gourment cooking for you". Mr. Salt is hilarious!
0:58 And thus the Condescending Wonka meme was born
nobody could predict that gobstoppers will end up in Ricks pawnshop lol
*_✨ not me crunching on these while watching ✨_*
1:00
Oh so you make videos of movie secnes?
Tell me about how amazing you are at youtubing.
can’t believe one of these sold for $100k 😳
Would you like to see?
Nice.
I'm sure it never occurred to Gene Wilder that his momentary likeliness while reciting the line "Would you like to see?" would become one of the most famous Internet memes 40 years afterward. lol!
1:47 Notice how Wonka never answers the question. He just changes the subject. For all we know, the things are made of dead children. That's why we never saw the other 4 children come out of the factory again. For all we know, they were the ingredients that would truly make the gobstoppers "everlasting".
I don't know what Veruca would have to gain by accepting the fake Slugworth's offer to buy the Everlasting Gobstopper from her. Considering her family is already super-rich and all.
So you finally found the condescending Wonka meme. You must be sooooo proud.
I'm not proud. I don't give a shit about the meme. I want to watch the scene alone.
1:41, that's what she said
The saying is "That's *not* what she said", unless of course they're already the size of M&M's minis.
This movie should be a combination horror movie (the tunnel scene) and porno flick. (the quote from this scene, the "snozzberry: scene, and the Wonkamobile scene, since people have made some bad comments about that)
I was supposed to say that
everybody's talking about the "You can suck 'em forever" but what about that big ass pink thing on the top of the machine that keeps expanding
RIP Gene, Love ya
1:28 I love how Willy Wonka lipsyncs the question being asked
