    I took an A&P course in HS ten years ago. I barely passed it. This was incredibly helpful to figure out a game plan for taking the college level course. I, too, struggled with conceptualizing and discussion because I could memorize but didn't fully understand what I was learning.

    You are a gem!!!! I have sent about 5 people to your channel since I discovered you 3 weeks ago!! Do you review lab models by any chance? Or have any tips for studying them for quizzes? Taking A&P online and the midterm is on Ch. 1-4 (Intro - Integumentary)

    • @AnatomyGMC
      @AnatomyGMC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Awwwwwww thank you so much! I am so happy! Please keep sending them! hahahah I do review lab models! I have a playlist with the majority of the axial skeleton, then the heart and kidney. I have a list of videos I am hoping to add soon. I do have the midterm chapters you need for sure!
      I love to divide the lab terms/views up evenly by days I have before the exam, I study one set a day. After I have done this I print out practice sheets of the body parts I am studying on that day and slip them into those plastic page protectors (know what I'm talkin about?) Then I use a dry erase marker to fill in the terms on the plastic covered practice sheet/wipe off/do again/wipe off/do again...until you can't stand it anymore. This gets you used to writing the terms and spelling them correctly. I hope that makes sense!

    I took Anatomy and the library at the college had the Anatomy flash cards.
    If the next section was going to be on muscles, I would take pictures of the flash cards with my cell phone .This way when I was in Anatomy lab, I could identify the muscles because I had the pictures on my phone to use.
    Or, I could take pictures of the anatomical models, then when I got home I would upload the pictures, make a slide show, I would then identify the muscles. That slide show would become my study guide.

    What about lecture notes? How do we incorporate that into the readin

    • @AnatomyGMC
      @AnatomyGMC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! So In my own courses, my notes come from the text, so by my students reading the text they are also going over the notes. I feel if you have deep understanding of the text, after that, when you review the notes (which I recommend especially the days right before an exam) you’ll see that you already know the notes!
      Now, this works unless you have one of those professors who gives notes that don’t go with the book and just come out of their heads. 😅 you know the ones where you never know what the heck they are going to test on? Ugh.
