1. There are usually 1-2 camps immdeiately to the east. 2. Explore on the 1st day (safer & more stamina). 3. Let your horse eat grass when it's tired. 4. Stay inside until after the monsters come. 5. Don't build more than you need. 6. Rely mostly on archers/hunters. 7. The black horse is faster and has more stamina. 8. Deer herding. Helpful but not necessary. 9. Free walls & towers at main base. 10. When clearing trees, leave the last tree next to a camp. 11. Let the grass grow before building. 12. This structure lets you build stone buildings. 13. Don't assign projects too late in the day. 14. It's better to have people than buildings. 15. The hunter altar gives your arrows more damage (and I think also more accuracy). 16. The nights after red moons are safer. 17. The 2nd level of the farm will keep workers there overnight. 18. Farms build faster than any other building. 19. The more you upgrade, the less your morning chest is worth. 20. Waiting is sometimes the best move. 21. Use the hunter altar before attacking. 22. Feed your knights extra coins. 23. The best time to attack is at night, but after they do. 24. There is an audio cue when the portal is destroyed. There's also a visual cue for if your knights die. 25. After a portal is destroyed, there is an attack. These attacks become increasingly difficult. 26. When you send an attack, don't expect them to return. 27. Clear one side's portals first. 28. These floaty dudes are why towers are not especially useful. 29. These chubby dudes ARE why towers can be very useful. 30. The portals can be used to make teleporters. 31. You can set a quick return point. 32. The final wave will push from both sides. 33. Too many coins? Drop them. 34. You need high defenses for the final wave.
35. You can run past the portals during the day if you have coins for the mobs to steal from you as you run past. 36. Archers will move out to the furthest wall, regardless if it is completed or not. Use this to expand territory in leaps.
2 more things about portals, dont know if you've mentioned that: If you enter a portal, the king/queen will stay at the portal until the player leaves the portal again. This means monsters can still attack the player if they don't leave the portal fast enough. and 2nd: It is possible to teleport behind the monsters. They will eventually turn around and target the player again which will cause them to pass by all the towers the player has set up a second time
I watched a number of guides, this one is by FAR the best out there (that I have seen at any rate). I had no idea about the grass. My first playthrough I was super rich, but afterwards I kept expanding and didn't understand why my archers were not doing anything (no grass no rabbits). Also, one thing I can attest to is that every time the chest will spawn on both sides. It is a mechanic to make sure people explore early on in the map. Also, as in most games you want to build up your main base as quickly as possible, I was very confused as to why I was only getting one gold so thank you for clearing it up. I figured it was because my knights (which I bought all 4 of right away) were sucking up all of my gold. A little bit of explanation in game would have gone a long way to letting me know what is up. XD Very well done video.
Ok so there technically was an insane guide where a guy beat the game in 9 days which had some cool ideas, but for normal gameplay this is still one of the best guides out there
Instead of just excepting that most of the poeple you send to attack a portal will die, just attack portals immediately after a Blood Moon. Then, even if the people don't get back before night, they'll be safe as the night after a Blood Moon is a "Silent Night" (No monsters/Greeds attack during Silent Nights).
After an advertisement for Kingdom:Classic free a year back, I added the game to my library. Cue the passing of the days, and I finally install it 3 days ago. Great game, wish it had more instructions. But, it lead me to your take on it, so it's all good in the end! You explain the mechanics and the ups and downs of taking certain actions, which is absolutely wonderful. Now I can finally beat the game, instead of lasting as long as humanely possible lol.

Personally I like to escort my knights in an attack, and I never attack with just one knight. This way I'll be overseeing the battle, and I'll be replenishing their coins as they lose them, to keep them and the archers alive. Of course, this means taking a day for it, but then I usually take a more laid back approach to gameplay, so I only start attacking when my base and finances are feeling pretty solid. I also get the armored horse, if I can, as it can bless troops (I play _Kingdom:New Lands,_ though. I don't know if that horse exists in the first game).
In classic, Knights are the first to flee after a portal is destroyed and a horde of greed spawn so even if they escape, your archers are pretty much toast.
Great video, learned a lot. I refer to the West side as the Right side of the map because the sun sets there, so I had to keep straightening it out in my head.
great video! I played Two Crowns first, then New Lands, and finally picked up Classic today. I didn't understand how the merchant works so that was helpful! The win condition is different too which is interesting. I got plastered my first try by the final attack....now I understand I just need to wait a bit and maybe make some towers!
One tip: when you recruit some men at the camp, always left 1 or 2 coins behind, so another npc will be generate and they'll be automatically recruited

Another tip: *don't start building walls at night fall.* I've seen so many new players do that... Unfinished walls don't keep the monsters out, and if you build too late, the wall won't be finished in time. You can try to figure out how late you can build walls, but if you don't know what you're doing, then just don't. Also, *when you reach the late game, do NOT forget the hunter upgrades.* Non-blessed archers may just be your sudden downfall. I lost plenty of games for that reason...
Most of this you will find by playing and experimenting. They game was meant to be playing many times, if they give it all away up front you have no reason to come back.
If you secure the kingdom in 25 days, do you also get the Day XXX, Day XXXV, Day XL etc achievements too? Or do you have to drag the game for that long to get those achievements?
No, those other achievements are about surviving beyond certain days because the waves get increasingly difficult. These same tips should help for those though, just don't clear the last portal.
Idk what you are talking about, they only attack from 1 side the east and the west side just ends, there are no alters idk what’s happening with my game
Im a little confused... what ever version im playing the way to win over an island is to build a boat that arms itself with 4 archers and three builders and once the boat is built (through a lot of coins of course) the builders guide it to a dock (one either east or west) then once it's there you pay 10 coins to board the ship and leave to another island with increasingly more difficult monsters and new items. I havent completed the game yet but i think there is a total of 5 islands that you have to complete this process on and they all introduce new items to the table to help you through much more difficult waves of monsters...
This guide is from Kingdom Classic. You described Kingdom New Lands. There are a lot of similarities, but the overall objectives changed in New Lands like you noted. I thought about making an updated guide but never got around to it.... yet, but a lot of the basics from Classic are the same except hunters are way less effective at earning money, so you need to go for farms as well, and the extra items/characters are necessary for going for the tougher islands and longer runs (a.k.a. Baker is OP).
Okay yea, thanks i realized that a little bit after posting that comment. So thanks for the reply. and btw i think the hunters still get a load of coins. The way i extend my kingdom depending on the wall options will often allow my hunters to get nearly a bag full of coins each after a day of checking.
This is for Kingdom Classic. If you're playing one of the newer ones, there are different mechanics and such. I haven't made a video about the other games, but hopefully the basic tips here help you.

This is Kingdom Classic, you're playing Kingdom New lands. Both games are similar but in New lands the way you win is by building the boat and travelling to several new areas. Also the game doesn't have a set spawn for the chapel like structure its random, so you will have to look for the structures yourself. I can answer any other questions you might have.
They were going to the outter most wall (which the game checks as the furthest wall building spot that you've paid for), and I was following them to make sure they'd make it.

Herd the deer to the hunters but you’ll only be scraping in a few coins at time, unless you get better hoarding a bunch of them like this example in this video. The very first time I left island two, Ii was winter, I had no coins at all and no rabbits to hunt, but i just needed a few more coins to finish and launch the boat, so this was what I did. In the later islands, you can unlock and use the bear to hunt deer. Try earning more surplus coins from your cash cows (merchant, hunting and farming), when your bag is almost full and the coins keep flowing in, store them in the Town hall for a snowy day , you also get interest as a bonus. When it comes to winter and you are out of coins from your bag and cash cows (merchant can take a while and is not available after island 2), start withdrawing your coins from the town hall. Get a unicorn but it’s only unlockable in island 5

After you have built your ship, some of your workers/builders & 4 archers would accompany the ship to the docks. It will take some time to reach the end but if it does then you can pay ten coins and you will advance to the next island. Tip: You can make your Knights board the boat by making them advance in that direction (to the docks) for 4 coins.
@@skaruts Yes, you would be starting the next island with extra Knights. You can make more knights to join you to the other island on the boat if you have the Knight Hermit and make them march towards the docks.

Kept losing the baker in giant waves, so I had to go back and forth between island 4 and 3, and after 7 tries, I make it with a unicorn and the baker. I finally don't do any mistakes, and send off my knights 1 side at a time, expanding building mad walls and towers, hoarding archers, having walled-off farms, and a 16+ inventory of gold in the bank. Day 39 I win as apparently, no last wave ever came, and I just won standing in the middle of my kingdom. "The Crown Is Safe". A bit anti-climactic i might add..

4 years late but chests CAN spawn on only one side. I completed classic with 100% achievements so I'm quite sure of this.

Knights when I dont give them anything:im too weak
Knights 0.000069 seconds after I give them 8 coins:UNLIMITED...POWER.

I'm not sure. You may want to tinker in the options or maybe you need to win/lose to trigger the tutorial to stop playing.
When the game is about to begin, press down for a long time and it will skip the tutorial.

You never explained the builders altar. What's the magical particle thing they cause good for?
I believe building HP or defense? But with archer spam, the extra defense isn't needed.

The archer one helps bowman in both accuracy and damage; the farming one I believe generates more money from farms. The farmer one isn't as important.

HEY what happned ıf ı buıld and go wıth ship??
After you have built your ship, some of your workers/builders & 4 archers would accompany the ship to the docks. It will take some time to reach the end but if it does then you can pay ten coins and you will advance to the next island.
Tip: You can make your Knights board the boat by making them advance in that direction (to the docks) for 4 coins.
@@shockjaggz7427 I never knew about the knights thing. Does that mean you start with the knights on the next land?
@@skaruts Yes, you would be starting the next island with extra Knights. You can make more knights to join you to the other island on the boat if you have the Knight Hermit and make them march towards the docks.

You might be playing a newer version where mounts are spread across maps; this video is from Classic, which was just 1 map & no boat stuff.

Kept losing the baker in giant waves, so I had to go back and forth between island 4 and 3, and after 7 tries, I make it with a unicorn and the baker.
I finally don't do any mistakes, and send off my knights 1 side at a time, expanding building mad walls and towers, hoarding archers, having walled-off farms, and a 16+ inventory of gold in the bank.
Day 39 I win as apparently, no last wave ever came, and I just won standing in the middle of my kingdom.
"The Crown Is Safe".
