OG Niner fan here, frustrated yes, but only of the injuries in just about every key area for the team which is the issue not the players. A lot of the community and myself blame the front office and coaching for not recruiting for the OL to protect Purdy. We need 3 new players for the OL at least. Much respect to the remaining players though this difficult situation.

To me it seems like there have been more injuries than ever before to all the NFL teams. My team the Chiefs have had more injuries than your 9ers in my opinion, other than quarterback. Our two lousy tackles are going to get Mahomes hurt eventually with their lousy play.
I have said it before and I will say it again, after the last Super Bowl loss the 9ers have already missed its window. It is really that simple. There is always a lifecycle to a football team. The star players of this team have already past their peak and therefore are beginning to age. Psychologically, I believe Shanny is burnt out and so are the players in the sense that there are only so many times you can go to the Super Bowl and lose. I very much realized that after the Super Bowl loss and decided to pull back from this team to curb all expectations because I believe it is pretty much all downhill from that point on. As mentioned, all our star players are aging with no one waiting in the wings, we have paid way too many players and the team is now in cap hell. At some point, whether it is with this current regime or otherwise, 9ers will have to rebuild when they realize and accept they can no longer win and compete like they used to. Once you know you can't compete for a Super Bowl with what you've got, you will have to start again. Is a shame really, had Lynch not decided to draft Moody to dump Robbie, I really believe we would have won the Super Bowl last season, but instead Moody missed that extra point, pulled us into OT and we lost. It was so unnecessary, a 100% self-induced harm, no one ever drafts a kicker. That is football, sometimes you make a slight error in judgement and you end up changing the fortunes and history of a team.

I don't think depth is the issue. Without all the injuries there's plenty of depth. You can't have 200+ million dollars worth of starters injured and also expect depth despite that.

I saw a statistic, we had the most injuries of any team in the nfl of probowl caliber players . I haven’t lost faith in the players, we need a new OC and DC.
If a player does not make all pre season activity or provides any distractions they are sitting the bench for any player who shows the will and ability to develop. Even if injured they will be considered for trade. To build the most important part of the team. The trench player until the group is at least top five rated.
Looking at the remaining schedules, I honestly believe the 49ers will win 5 in a row and win the division. Rams and Cardinals will both go 3-2 while Seahawks will finish 2-3.
Look, they haven't had any real rest. They've been on a run for a while now. Their bodies are beat up. It has finally caught up with them. So cut him some slack. I don't think depth is the issue. Without all the injuries there's plenty of depth. You can't have 200+ million dollars worth of starters injured and also expect depth despite that.

Grade D- for season 2024 so far, for me. There are teams that don't even have 3 wins at this point.
If a player does not make all pre season activity or provides any distractions they are sitting the bench for any player who shows the will and ability to develop. Even if injured they will be considered for trade. To build the most important part of the team. The trench player until the group is at least top five rated.
Looking at the remaining schedules, I honestly believe the 49ers will win 5 in a row and win the division. Rams and Cardinals will both go 3-2 while Seahawks will finish 2-3.
