Mam I'm confused regarding sec.142 21:10 and sec. 149
23:39 . While explaining sec. 142 you mentioned that a person who has no knowledge of a common object cannot be held liable for offence but while explaining sec.149 you mentioned that each person must be liable for the offence whether one of them committed that offence or not just because they were member of a unlawful assembly

@@Abhishekduggal508 if a person unknowingly joins unlawful assembly without having intention of being a part of that then that person will not be held liable as there was no mens rea
Whereas unders 149 all the members have joined the unlawful assembly with common intent that's why they are all liable
