I am finding that in the third year I am getting big, full sized racks that actually make it all the way to being ripe and harvestable. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I'll have to hunt up your growing video. I'm in Phoenix as well, and gradually working on converting yard to growing fruit. What time of year do you think is best to plant bananas here?
Hello, thank you for watching and commenting! I put out the growing video around August of 2022. That is awesome that you are working on converting your Phoenix yard into one growing fruit. I would say that anytime from April to September are perfect to plant bananas. If you do plant them in the middle of summer just make sure to provide some supplemental shade. They do not like the winter here in Phoenix and will die back with the cold. Let me know if you have any other questions.
