I'm an atheist, but I'm not an anti theist. I understand the trauma of class war. All of human history is the story of class struggle, and religion has always served as means of coping. And of answering big questions. We live thru a lot of trauma and the belief that these trials are a test for paradise to come is just what ppl gotta believe to get up in the morning. I can't be mad at that at all. Communists tend to be atheists because we understand life could be paradise on earth right now. We've progressed to the point in human history where we have the technology that can eliminate needless human exploitation. Or at least eliminate most of it. And this could also save our climate. When life is better on earth the desire to escape it for waiting paradise would disappear.
But the reason I think Kanye is the best artist ever is because while he's not a communist clearly lol, although we know his connection to the Panthers thru his dad (Pac's family connections to the Panthers is what made him great too imo) is that he is able to communicate in the music some really class conscious shit. I read a review right after the album came out that said Ye doesn't present a cohesive religious message on this album. They compared it to Jesus Walks where they felt he was more concretely laying out what his religious beliefs actually are. But I think on Donda Ye is saying what he's always said. His message is we are all gods. We are all connected. Humanity is one, and we gotta take care of each other. We gotta live for more than just ourselves. He falls short. He just one guy. He still falls victim to all the capitalist bullshit. He's always been honest about that. But he still has this message for us that he gotta get out. He's still striving the be example and he's gonna keep telling his truth no matter the consequences. He is a theist. That's fine, but just like with MLK or Malcolm X, who were also radicals AND theists, there's more going on there. He's talking about the human condition. And everybody can relate to that.

Not heal but come to some peace because death is inevitable but they only die if you don't celebrate their life. His mother would be hurt if she knew how much pain he was in. She raised a king and she prepared him for this world. He has to let her live through his actions. Nothing dies they live through you. I love Kanye. I remember hearing this record for the first time. I was in the gym and I stopped mid work out. I had goosebumps and I began to cry. I started thinking about my mother in law who passed away a few years ago. That woman rode with me like a Harley.. 😞😢
I am Russian, but even after listening to this album only once, and not understanding all the words, I felt incredible energy. And then I translated all these words and listened again. It's been over 20 days since the album came out, but I listen to it every day. This is a real art.

First , not all music is for everyone. Second the message in this track varies and extends beyond religion. Heck, he had Jay Electronica who is a core Muslim on the track, and referenced notorious Larry Hoover heavily, who founded Gangster Disciples Street Gang in Chicago. The beauty of the track really lies in that no matter your affiliations, what you believe, or don’t believe in, we are all hurting somehow, somewhere, and we all need help.

I'm a firm realist and atheist, and yet I can rock with this track. Once you take away the religious aspect its a cool track that anyone can enjoy through the story in the lyrics.
You don't have to be religious to appreciate. The amount of genuine emotion and genius of this track.
