  • Hey guys!
    Decided to make a video detailing how exactly I got to JSX in a year so that hopefully you guys can do the same!
    Please understand that this video is geared to people who are looking to get to the airlines ASAP.
    If you are a college student who is no rush to get to the airlines, 4 year degree program with a 141 approved course may be perfect for you! However if you are like myself and want to get to jets ASAP, you'll have to switch up your plan a bit!
    Anyways guys, thanks for watching!

    You definitely made the right decision. “The college experience” isn’t anything and mostly filled with regrets lol

    Thank you so much for all your excellent videos! Your future is so so bright! Your family has the 4 year degree traditional schooling mindset and that is the understandable in almost all careers. For pilots with this current demand- Jaden, you will later see exactly how wise your decisions right now were. Sorry for that awkward sentence, lol. I know you hear how important seniority is- well these decisions will put you as likely the absolute most senior guys at FedEx from 45 until retirement. This is simply because on your 23rd birthday you will be going to Fedex or anywhere you chose. If you have read up to this point on this long ass message- take it from an old freight dog - flying the back side of the clock will absolutely take years off your life. You may seriously consider Delta. And dude, you were so Chris Rock when the chief pilot called you and asked if you wanted the job- lol

    amazing videos man. Glad you're pumping them out now. JSX sounds awesome, and Burbank isn't that bad if you end up there lol. How often were you studying a day while at ATP? And how did you like being a CFI while you were one?

      Thanks for the support! Hopefully Burbank ends up not being that bad haha.
      To answer your questions though.
      I didn't study all that much while at ATP, maybe an hour or two a day was usually enough for me.
      And I absolutely LOVED being an instructor. If you have a lot of patience and enjoying teaching, you will enjoy as well!

    When you were talking about online school at embry riddle was that referring to ground school training?

      Good question! I was referring to actual College, just online though.

    How's Embry Riddle Online? I'm considering it for getting my bachelors (I have my associates). What's the paper writing like? Is there a lot of it? That's what's stopped me from getting my bachelors as of now. I'm really good with math and sciences but paper writing not so much. I'm in Phoenix, and my first flight is in 3 weeks. I've been driving a tow truck for almost 13 years and I'm over it and need change. I'm super excited!

      Embry Riddle honestly has it's up and down,
      If you are doing it purely online, it will start to feel like a waste of money simply because alot of the material you are learning can be found in a simple google search.
      However if your gonna be in phoenix you can attend the WorldWide Campus at Sky Harbor and get that real life class room experience.
      Benefit to ERAU online is that you can finish your degree FAST.

    Did JSX hire you without having your ATP? I struggle to find any postings that don't require ATP.

    If you fail a check ride in ATP, does they take the money of that test? Or you pay when you pass?

    • @jaycay99
      @jaycay99  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah man so you pay for the checkride (Usually about 700 dollars) and then you pay for the retake (Usually 350). That's more industry standard rather than just ATP

    why do erau online when its so expensive? Wouldnt any other online instate college be way cheaper?

    • @jaycay99
      @jaycay99  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      From the my research, ERAU was a combination of the fastest and cheapest options, they also gave a good amount of credits for flight experience.
