    Current NBA is the most unwatchable thing on TV. This is coming from someone who grew up playing ball almost everyday and watching every game I could in the 90s and 00s.

    They swung way too hard in the other direction. We've gone from people getting mugged with no calls, to players exaggerating ever single little bit of contact/flopping. I haven't been able to watch a full game since 2019. And I've tried. Itsjust a weak product for a weak generation.

    Lebron is touted for spending a million dollars a year on his body, as well as, his longevity and passes Kareem in scoring. Kareem played 20 seasons. He played 82 games 5 times and missed less than 10 games in a season 18 of the 20 seasons of his career. At 38 he won Finals MVP averaging 29 points a game.
    Contrast with Lebron. Lebron is in year 21 and has played 82 games once in in his 20 seasons. He averages 66 games played a season and if you add the sum of his missed games up it equates to nearly 5 seasons of missed games. So much for the media giving him the title of Mr. longevity because context matters.

      I don't like Lebron but your calculations are a bit off. It's not exact but for 20 seasons not including this season he's missed about 2.67 regular season of games not played. Let's just say he's missed over 2.5 regular seasons of games since 19-20 season was shortened correct or no? Lebron didn't play any college so there goes about 35 -140 games other players have put in. Jordan already had over 90 college games played before the NBA.

    Nothing like watching numerous players charge the basket for an easy layup just to kick it out to the three point line for a 40% shot chance…or rebound the ball with little to stop them from putting it back in and again kicking it out for another 40% chance at a 3pt shot….or the iso game that has become the league since 2001 defensive 3 sec rule, where everyone just stands around the perimeter while the guard goes 1v1 with no defensive help because you can’t leave the player you are guarding for more than 3 seconds 😂…makes for boring defenseless basketball imo…

      Absolutely! And since all players are spread across the three point line most of defensive boards are simply catching the ball with your feet glued to the ground! No hustle whatsoever! Getting extremely boring to watch even the highlights!

    90s were the golden years of the NBA. Obviously MJ had A LOT to do with that

    NBA is dead☠️ No defense, flopping, traveling, 3 point contest...no thanks. I'd rather see MJ trying to win than LeQuit "load managing"😂

    The league right now is really soft in the sense of rules and like the mentality of players like the load management and also the flopping thing cause then or some players back then they don't sit out games unless the injury is serious for example kevin mchale played all games with a broken foot imagine that in today's game and there was no flopping back then it's all take no prisoners mentality approach plus back then they weren't playing for money they we're playing for pride so yeah the league now is soft

    Look at the thumbnail. That's what they want as the goat of our sport. He flops like a waving inflatable tube man each time he has to play Denver. Smh.

    Go back to the way it was ...it has gottn soft ...these if they got fouled like back in the 80s early 90s there would be no players playing cause there so use to milkying it playing ...its not a game any more its more of a show ... its gone to commerical ...

  • @skhetan1
    @skhetan1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    jfc yeah sure stop the flopping but otherwise enough with this "too soft" "not a man's game" nonsense it's a skill / finesse game this isn't MMA. The phrase "too soft" alone is just cringe

    • @nassiglutt6587
      @nassiglutt6587 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nah you gotta admit it became "too soft" but aint exactly the player's faul. It's on the league itself with those rule amendments and additionals. Now then the players went all hollywood artists with it exploiting it to the fullest. Instead of being more interesting, the games became more and more unwatchable. Most actually cares only about the playoffs😁

    • @skhetan1
      @skhetan1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nassiglutt6587 I think you're talking about competitive mindset more than actual physicality of play... that I can get on board with more, manifests in different ways e.g. load management or players being hollywood or being super-friendly on/off court etc
