@ it wasn’t mentioned in the video that it was a firmware update. The way he made it sound to me was its specific to the newer goggles only. Which I thought sucked. But decided to research it. There were a few videos on TH-cam stating about the neo firmware update but none on the avata 2. I guess because it’s not the newest thing.
Great price on these new goggles, so good in fact there sold out all ready, everywhere you look. They compare very well to the more expensive Goggles 3. Nice review, and thanks for sharing.
The NEO is an awesome piece of gear. At its price point limit your expectations. Would like DJI to add "Camera" with timed shots, say 5 Sec & 10 Sec intervals to ALL 6 of the NEO preset shooting modes. At present think only the "Spotlight mode" mode offers timed photos. Recognize that drone capture has been prioritized towards Videographers. Only offering the "Video" Camera Mode is a bit limiting. Primarily a Still photographer. With my Mavic 3 have captured some amazing stills. NEO Camera will have to wait for the NEO Pro so don’t big deal it. Simple an limited Camera/Still settings should be an easy add.
Got N3 goggles direct from DJI for $229, because Amazon wants $339! Not kidding! Trying to figure if I can bind them both with my Avata 2 so I can swap goggles interchangeably day to day! (Or would I have to do the bind function to use them?)
Can I fly the Neo without goggles or without a phone/screen. In other words, can I take the Neo to the park with the FPV RC3 and/or the Motion 3 and fly?
I bought a Neo, Googles N3, and motion controller. I live a few miles from an airport and a navy base. I was getting authorization errors when trying to fly so I submitted an unlock request that was approved. I seem to be able to fly the Neo using the DJI Fly app just fine. But if I try to use the goggles and the motion controller, I still get the geo zone error and it forces the drone to land. Is there something in the process I'm missing?
DJI official website doesn't diffirentiate transmition diffference between N3 and G3 both 13km FCC, same dbm, so info about distance in the video could be incorrect
My only requirement for drones is external antenna plugs so I can replace the garbage they give you with an amplifier and a yagi uda. Let me guess, no external antenna ports? I’m sick of breaking open every DJI product to fix their antennas and add plugs.
