Wonderful video, thanks!! This car is super awesome! And it's beautiful. I have the colour grey rafale. I picked it up last Saturday and I enjoy it every time so much! Super smooth driving experience and the quality is amazing for a car in this segment. No complaints for me!! I would really recommend this car.
I’ve bought one of these! The cheapest trim - the Evolution. It’s SO nice. Obviously a part of me wanted the Alpine trim.. but in the end, reasoned I’d never put the car in “Sport” mode anyway, as I want the car to be as economic as possible. That’s why I’m buying it! Everything is pretty much the same… you get so much kit with the Evolution.. I love it. Great video… it’s made driving a game for me, trying to get the best scores of MPG each time… :)
I'm planning on getting the Esprit Alpine Clio this weekend. You're pleased with the car? I'm switching from a 2007 Peugeot 207, so hopefully this will be a welcome change :D
I just got the Mitsubishi-branded hybrid Renault Clio last week. What a brilliant car... Chose the Colt version because of Mitsubishi's 8 years warranty.
I change my car every 2 years so I don't need 8 years warranty, that's why I bought the Clio full hybrid alpine. And it comes with these beautiful seats which the mitsubishi doesn't have. But they are principally the same. Enjoy your Mitsubishi Clio 😉👌🏻
@@esperootje The Clio is a nice car but there really is no reason to change your car every 2 years. Why do you do that? Mass consumerism is harmful to the environment and the soul.
@@rajm2626 Yeah maybe you are right, but i just like to change objects once in a while. I like to improve and have new things, i guess this makes me happy, so i am very sorry for the environment but after 2 years i think i will go for the Austral, then i want to travel and i need more space.
I bought this car a few weeks back but sadly in the UK the speakers are not Bose speakers and there is no 360 camera, no options to have either. Apparently different countries have different tech to others. Anyone else in the UK have the same issue. I still love the car though 🤣
I put in an order a couple if days ago, knowing that the bose system wasn't available, which was a shame. But even uk sites were talking of a 360 degree camera and was a bit surprised to find out it wouldn't be coming with one. No idea why at all. I do like the fact that there aren't lists of options, keeps things simple, and better for the wallet, but they should have that 360 on the highest spec at least.
@@alecv4622 It is a shame about the 360 camera feature not being available to the UK market, I’m sure I watched a video review and they mentioned the 360 camera. I’ve had my Esprit now in Diamond black for a few weeks and absolutely love the car, the 360 camera would have been the cherry on the cake though. 😁
@tonyclee1969 glad to hear you love it. I'm in that phase of doubting if I've made the right decision and will only know when I have the car. Cheers for the reassurance:). Went for Shadow grey after flip flopping between that and ceramic grey. Maybe a more boring choice, but looks smart I think.
I have to say... Our clio with this fabulous 1.33 tce is something special. I haven't seen a 130-140 horsepower engine that close to the performance we get... By the way, I've managed with mine (and quite a few others) 8.3 sec 0 to 100😅
The hybrid is heavier, also it's configured for efficiency rather than performance. The transition between the 2 electric motors and the engine is also too slow. If only they made a proper sport mode, where the engine is always running and you get 145HP at any time, instead of only certain speeds, it would easily do under 8 seconds.
usually in hybrids these power outputs are when electric and ICE are combined meaning when the two motors work at the same time.on the motorway usually the ICE works alone though so actually you have a 90hp car.
@@SDADanCars in the models before March it was standard. Furthermore, the adaptive cruise control, the start and stop and the lane centering assist are part of the level 2 assisted driving that the Clio should have, so in practice without a single one of these the Renault is defrauding customers
Any thoughts on the new gearbox. It's been nicknamed 'one use' gearbox, because it's designed to break very fast, and they are not manufacturing spare parts.
I would only use the auto-hold on steep roads. The car should have a hill start assist linked to the brake pedal...which normally holds for a few seconds as you move your foot from the brake to the accelerator.
What's better in your opinion: This exact car, the exact trim and engine, or a Peugeot 208 GT with the Hybrid (100kw) engine? They're about the same, they both look pretty sweet too imo. Or any other good option under €30,000 that isn't a Yaris? Perhaps a VW Polo but I'd be worried about the fragile DSG on that one
My parents have the new Peugeot 208, I have this new Renault Clio esprit alpine.
