Between Ugarte and Zubimendi its a tough choice. Zubimendi more technical and much more comfortable on the ball but Ugarte is a defensive beast , tenacious , never stops running and adds physicality & bite to the CM. I'd be content with either one and we certainly lack attributes that both provide. Really depends on the price, not sure how serious Zubimendi links are or how far along INEOS taken that. Ugarte will depend on the price , PSG should be willing to take a slight loss considering player did not have a great season and does not fit in Enrique's plans. If another club willing to pay up for PSG to break-even or profit on Ugarte from what they paid , fair play ; but we shouldn't be that club.

I really don't like the idea of removing Eriksen and Casemiro from our midfield. I think Casemiro, McTominay, Hannibal will bring us close to £80m or £90m. Replacing them with Zubimendi AND Olmo with Simons on loan with an obligation to buy uses our funds wisely. Zubimendi gives us a ball playing defensive midfielder who can balance out the likes of Olmo, Simons, Mount, and Bruno. At the start of the season, I'd try limiting Mainoo's playing time as much as possible to avoid burnout and to introduce Collier. There are also other prospects to consider like Emeran and Gore. I hate the idea of Rabiot, Ugarte's asking price is just plain unrealistic too.

I appreciate the new recruitment and clearout strrategy. I wish to retain Mactominay and sell Mount who has not been fit to club. I didn' t see any positive clue from him.

I'm itching to see the next victim of a clear out! I like the sound of Zubimendi, but the important thing is for the incomings to gel. Alot has to change this window because as it stands we're like 2-3 windows behind where we need to be. Though it depends how strong we can finish this window. Seems to me Psg need to sell to balance their books.
I am all for a Rabiot deal (as a second CM signing) if INEOS decide to move for him. I think this toxic / trouble making idea is being blown way out of proportion. Juve re-signed him last summer and wanted to do so again , some reports even suggested they offered him the captaincy to stay. Plus a France regular as well ; if he was trouble Juve would not want to keep him let alone offer the captaincy and would have been banished from France national side long ago. For me Rabiot is a lot of quality on a free - he's well clear of Scott , Eriksen and Amarabat ; AR is better than Casemiro (if last season's form is Case's level now), id say better than Mount as well. Rabiot is a high quality midfielder - he's tall , very mobile for his size , physical , good ball carrier , high IQ / very intelligent passer and adds some goals from midfield as well. Attributes wise i'd think he would do well in the PL. Also adds some experience if we sell a number of our older players.
If the wages are what is being reported something like 170k / 180k a week - thats less than 4th choice Maguire and not much more than Eriksen on. If Rabiot asks for ridiculous wages INEOS will just walk away. If the wage demands are reasonable i'd sign him in an instant.

Zubimendi would be great. Ericson and McTominay need to move on, they want more game time but aren't good enough to demand it at United. Casemiro, maybe has one more decent season left in him. Last season wasn't great but he was in a poor team. Don't forgot what he did in the first season. I really don't want to see Rabiot at United. I think the benefits do not outweigh the risks. His is inconsistent.
