CA87A - Camping Among Boulders at City of Rocks State Park New Mexico

Hi Everybody!
This time we are visiting City of Rocks State Park in New Mexico! We LOVED this park so much! There are electric sites (not in the rocks) and non-electric sites (amongst the rocks) that you can choose from. Each dispersed camping site is very different but in this video we highlight some of them. My favorites were 16, 45 and 30A! It was also super fun to wander around the "city". Each time we went up in the rocks we found ourselves wandering in a different area. This place is a great place to relax and recharge and we will definitely be back!

Thanks for the video of City of Rocks. We spent a week in site 28 (we camped where the white 5’er is) at the 2:21 point in your video. Love this park!!! Will definitely return someday.

Thanks for all the informative details in your video. I tried to look up site 43 where it has the firepit and table in between the rocks. But there is no site 43 on the site map. We'll have to take a trip out there to scouts the sites individually as y all have. Before deciding which to reserve. I was hoping someone would be able to capture the illusive site 17.
How was your cell phone reception?

If you Google and look at a paper copy map, you will see the 40s on there. They are first come first serve if I remember right. Cell service in the rocks was pretty hit or miss. I used a booster and it was much better. I think 16 is the popular site. Very large. Either way, loads of awesome sites.

Verizon was fine outside of the rocks.
